He's still in Gallagher's gym.

Feel a bit sorry for Burton, he seemed to be highly hyped early on. A lot of the guys in that gym said he was the biggest puncher bar none. Callum Smith seems to of come along, and he's disappeared off the radar.

I think that might be somewhat deceiving. I remember Joe Gallagher saying he's the hardest hitting guy he's ever taken on the pads or something along those lines. I also remember Paul Smith saying he hit incredibly hard when they sparred.

Don't think he sells many tickets and heard that Gallagher said that Liam Smith is the biggest puncher in the gym, so who knows the truth?

Joe Gallagher was talking about him on the Toe2Toe podcast and said he'll be back in the gym in the new year.

Thanks for that, I didn't know.

Again, thanks.

It would be a shame if this lad misses the boat, he's a really decent prospect in my eyes. I've got to be honest and say that there didn't appear to be too many of his fans at the shows I've been to where he featured, so I could understand it if that's the main reason he and Coldwell have parted ways.

All the Coldwell shows I have attended have been pretty full & I have been to most.

IMO if he has left Coldwell & isnt active then it wasnt the best career move unless he had a dispute & is winding his contract down.

Regarding his ability I thought he was pretty good in the Prince Arron type mold, but in one performance did produce an impressive knockout.

I definitely agree with that. My point was I didn't hear too much support for Hosea relative to the coach loads of noise from fans of fighters such as Liam Conroy and Liam Hanrahan.

Sorry my mistake I agree with the followings of both Liams are huge, but the biggest following of all Coldwells boxers was Kieran Farrell.

Just to clear things up.
I released Hosea early October.

He was slated to box on the haye v fury bill but obviously that show fell through.

Hope he does well, I just felt I couldn't take him any further and would rather let him find someone that can.

Is he really the tremendous puncher that people had said he was? His record doesnt suggest that but as you know, sometimes records can be deceiving.

He's just released him which suggests he's not all that.

Not really. Without tv, the emphasis on Dave's lads is to sell tickets.

Fair enough but you'd think a promoter would squeeze him onto a show whether he sold tickets or not if he was that good.

And then lose him to one of the big boys? I know he is much better than quite a few of Dave's who sell far more tickets.

Good fighters build support, coldwell needs to bill them better.
