I want to start a thread giving seasonal greetings to franklyn warren.another year and for ten pounds a month we got to see some great boxing, have buncie hold it all together and next year it's in HD.

Let's face it even ten years ago we couldn't imagine a dedicated 24 hour boxing channel.

There could be improvements like more than one or two magazine shows.more from the vaults of Warren promotions.pick up some of the cheaper far eastern stuff and just air it for diversities sake and perhaps have a US boxing hour from the state's,just a cheap studio and hire fat man Rafael or some one like that to talk.perhaps pick up cheap Soviet bills some Aussie bills.all if it may not be great but it would be more original content and imo would make boxrec more watchable as a concept in other territories.Warren should think big.boxrec could be a global player.

lol, to be fair mate, they're probably already thinking of all these things already. It's all to do with having the capital to make it happen. I dont know how many subscribers they have either at the moment, but that will factor a lot aswell in what they can provide.

From a selfish perspective, this is what I want out of a boxing channel in order of preference:

1. Big international fights

2. British title fights

3. An opportunity to closely follow the development of a small number of genuine domestic and international prospects.

4. Classics from the archives.

Given that criteria, and whilst it's not perfect, that channel is the best we've got in this country right now.

You'd think they could reach some sort of agreement to show recorded small hall stuff during the week.

And since Warren used to like to write a weekly article in the note, how about he does a fifteen minute tv column every week on boxrec.say a Friday night slot
