Got a bit of cash and vouchers from xmas wondered if anyone could recommend anything good they'd recently got.
Was tempted to buy the Klitskcho documentary the other day but didn't any reviews from anyone?

Hatton's book is worth a tenner, got given Tyson's for Christmas so getting into that now, and if you've got a strong stomach, then Tapia's is a great read

I've owned Tapia's for about 4 years. I bought it in Manc the day after Khan Barrera....I mean Barrera- Khan......but even tho the writing is big and my hardback is only 289 pages the furthest I've got is a chapter

I'm gonna read it next week and report back!

If anyone bought me a Klitschko documentary, they'd be off my xmas card list for next year

The Klit docu isn't that bad. I watched it on a plane going to Bangkok.

Got hands of stone for xmas... deffo recommend it.

mike Tyson's new book is very good im half way through and I just want to keep reading it well worth a tenner

The Four Kings by George Kimball is a bit of a laboured read, but worthwhile.

I never follow boxing films or books, but Alex arguello's book intrigues me & I stumbled across Charles burley 'a book, a man avoided be msny greats & Archie Moore said he beat him in his prime which makes you think what a fighter as he was only a l. Middle

I got the Ricky Hatton book for Xmas and I've been working my way through it. It's taken me a while to get through as I've been watching all the early fights when they are mentioned throughout the book. I followed Hatton from quite early on in his career and It's been good fun and interesting watching all his early fights again such as Denton, Thaxton, Tony Pep, Magee, Tackie, Tszyu etc

Think I'll read the Tyson book in the same way and re-watch all his fights as they are mentioned throughout the book. Quite enjoyable

I bought the book (the author posts on here) but the picture quality (of which there are loads) is poor and each page has a windmill in the middle of the page which is really annoying once you get a few pages in.

Good read though.

Read the Hagler book which is very good and an easy read. Have just finished The Good Son on Ray Mancini which is an excellent read and I am currently reading http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews ... Descending which is a fantastic read, although I'm biased as I did know Wayne

Almost finished the Hatton book and it is very disappointing. As a fan it tells you very little that you probably didn't already know. I was hoping to hear more in depth stories from his training camps and tactics but it is a very basic book. 6/10

I agree. It is almost pointless for the hardcore fan to read any big name big budget book. Everything is well documented and if it isn't, it won't go in for fear of libel.

There's some good Bridget The Midget DVD' out there. Not that I've seen them or anything. This is the Off Topic section isn't it? Sh1t. Nothing to see here, move along. *WHISTLES*

Beautiful Brutality by Sky's Adam Smith not a bad read, just finished it after getting for xmas Some behind the scenes insight into the British scene. Klitschko dvd pretty good too.

Another vote too for Dark Trade by Donald McRae...best boxing book i've read.

I got gifted ESPN's Legends of Boxing 10 disk collectors edition. Not watached it so cant rate it, but it looks great it its packaging, was well pleased i never picked up another Ali or Tyson book.

Does anyone know of a decent book/DVD of the history of he heavyweight division?

Teddy Atlas's book is a good read. I've ordered Johnny Nelson's.

Tyson's autobiography is an eye opener, worth reading although it gets a bit tedious and samey near the end.
