simply question who will be the next british fighter to win a heavy weight belt.
i think fury will be involved with vitali's WBC belt maybe fighting an eliminator .
chisora might well get another shot and he's looking better now he's trimmed down a bit
haye ..we all know haye has a habbit of fighting again once there's a belt and payday up for grabs
anthony joshua .. a novice now but he could still be the first to win a title
outside bet hughie fury , what about david price

I am surprised at the poll results ... especially with so many knowledgable posters on here!!

furys the most likely to get a shot the quickest and depending on the opponent he could well win so i think thats why fury has a lot of votes.
Realistically the fighter capable of competing at world class level is haye so i voted for him i also think if he makes a comeback he will only need one decent fight for him to end up with a title shot maybe not even that.

Can't see Chisora winning a world title no matter how watered down.
Fury? All depends on the holder. He could land a strap but if he faces Wlad he will get smoked.
Haye? Depends if he comes back. If he does and is as good as he was he will win a title of some sort no trouble.
Can't see Price mixing it at that level. Far too early to tell with Hughie although he has been poor of late. I think Joshua looks a million dollars. All about the chin there

What's not to love?
Apart from that shitty tat on his shoulder...he must have been high off his own supply when he had that done.
Seriously though, fast hands, athletic, great attitude, once he sits down on his shots he will start taking people out cold too. Exciting fighter, although very much a work in progress.
He ain't no Lennox Lewis, I think anyway, but go back and watch Lennox's early fights if you can. Nobody was predicting he wouod become the great he did.
People put too much pressure on top ams from the off. Joshua has a long way to go but he has a hell lot of tools to work with.

I definietly think he's got talent. I just wish that he would lose some of that excess muscle he's carrying on his frame though. I think his athleticism would be even more prevalent if he did that. I do think he's a bit too bulky at the moment.

His arms are big. It makes the rest of him seem bulkier than he actually is I think.
He isn't that bulky really, not when you consider he is 6'6 and not even 17st.

The chicken legs probably help him stay around 230 with that upper body.
Obviously a talented guy, but looks stiff and unnatural in the ring to me, and I also wouldn't consider his hands fast. He may well end up being a world champion, but it's still very early days and there are many questions to be answered.

That's how I feel when I watch him. For instance, when you watch Wlad, he's bigger than Joshua i think in terms of weight right? He moves more fluidly and naturally to me. Lewis in particular looked far more loose and light on his feet to me aswell.

That often seems to be the case with guys who took up the sport relatively late. Wilder has a similar background and dimensions and there is a lot of that about him too, though I think Joshua has tighter technique.

True. Saying that though, Fury didnt start till pretty late either I dont think. Didnt have many amateur fights anyway. I think that whilst he has a ton of flaws himself his actual movement isnt too bad for a guy of 6'9.

He didn't have many amateur bouts because there are very few juniors of his size in Britain. He will have been around the sport all his life.

What about Price though? He's hardly tiny either lol and yet he had an extensive amateur background.

Just depends who gets the shot against who at the right time, but Chisora, Fury and Price if he sorts himself out are all capable plus you have Hughie and Joshua, but I won't say they will just yet.

I see Fury, Chisora and Price falling short in the final hurdle. I think the first world title will be Joshua's.

Chisora and Haye will/have reached their peak during the Klitschko era and therefore will never become champion. I don't think Fury can make it after seeing him being knocked down against Cunningham and Pajkic. Joshua is a decent bet but I have seen the hype too many times - I think it will be someone who is currently under the radar or yet to make his debut!

Price stayed amateur a lot longer than Fury and was a regular on the full international squad so got a lot of bouts in competition.

I agree, I have massive hopes for Joshua. I'm as excited to watch him fight as I was when Haye was blasting guys out ten years ago. Difference here is Joshua is a proper-sized heavyweight rather than a cruiser who looks to move up.
The one thing that worries me a bit is his attitude seems too relaxed for his own good...this may be just confidence but I would like to see a bit more fire in those eyes when he talks about his prospects. I think he's said in interviews things like 'we'll see what happens' rather than 'I'm going to the top'...kind of makes me question his motivation a little, like if someone told him he had to change career tomorrow it wouldn't bother him that much.

I'm well excited about Joshua he looks a monster but him wiping out journey men every month he isn't learning anything. The killer question is how does he react when he is hit back ????
Wish he did WSB thats the best preperation for the pro game he would have learnt significantly more than what he has done since turning pro.
IMO AJ should be British Champion at the end of the year.
I think Chisora may be able to do it IF HE DOESN'T FIGHT WLAD.
As for Fury I'm far from convinced he's been floored by guys who aren't big hitters and been matched very wisely eg not fighting David Price when it should have happened. To get in for a Final Eliminator based on who he had fought was incredible and plaudits have to go the Mick Hennesey. Had he fought Haye I think there was a good chance of a Maccarinelli fight repeat. Very interested who he fights next the guy is pure comedy value so I don't mind if he keeps winning for now.
