hes also trying to make McEwan v ryder and when I asked on twitter about cardle v Harrison he said he likes this so hopefully scott gets his licence back in time!
Ask yourself this, eddies working with Alex Morrison, who does Eddie put on his show Ronnie who's with Gilmour and would sell maybe 150 very top or DavidBrophy. Whos with Alex and sells 500 tickets, take a guess.JamieM wrote:Really hope Eddie decides to use the fighters in Scotland who deserve to be on big stage. I obviosly have a bias for Ronnie Clark and opinion is obvious but fighters like Iain Butcher, Scott Harrison, Ryan Collins, Michael Jamieson and John Simpson is where its at and would make a great card.
I'd like Butcher to get on this. Was very unlucky challenging for the British Title and at 20 should have decent future in the sport.JamieM wrote:Really hope Eddie decides to use the fighters in Scotland who deserve to be on big stage. I think Brophy is a guarantee with him being with you Billy. I however agree with Jamie much prefer Ryan Collins and Michael Jamieson to Michael Roberts and Scotty Cardle.. Eddie Hearn can make this show huge and catapult boxing In Scotland ..billy nelson wrote:Ask yourself this, eddies working with Alex Morrison, who does Eddie put on his show Ronnie who's with Gilmour and would sell maybe 150 very top or DavidBrophy. OK you mentioed a budget, what is Eh's budget for this card?daviddee wrote:I think Brophy is a guarantee with him being with you Billy. Main Event
Ricky Burns v Terence Crawford
Steve Simmons v Wadi Camacho
Ronnie Clark v John Simpson
Scott Harrison v Scott Cardle
Craig McEwan v John Ryder
Ryan Collins v Michael Roberts
David Brophy v TBA (top 20 middleweight)
Jon Slowey v Kris Hughes
Ian Butcher v TBA( Europeon WBO title I believe)
Michael Jamieson v Mitch Prince
Scott Allan v Anwar alfiadi (sorry for spelling)
All those fights are possible and That's a fantastic show. I'm sure within his budget. With the red button I think this would do very good numbers with some very very competitive fights.. That's how good Scottish boxing can be..
Of course he will just like he has done for Feb 1st in Wales gives the venue a real buzz all night.JamieM wrote:Really hope Eddie decides to use the fighters in Scotland who deserve to be on big stage. He said Belfast had poor viewing figures.JamieM wrote:Well hes sold out the past 2 shows in glasgow and says glasgow and belfast are his top 2 shows so surely hell have a higher budget than liverpool and hull shows which have had better cards than glasgow. I know myself taking Ronnie out the equasion id rather watch Scottish talent like butcher, collins, jamieson given a decent chance as there young and can be our next champions, brophy is guarenteed as hes with billy and in rickys camp and Simmons is deserved. Hopefully badger v slowey is made for it also as heard badger won it but wasnt given the nod.
Indeed. Crawford is one of the best prospects in the United States, at any weight. Unfortunately I expect Terence to win this one but I hope Ricky proves me wrong!Spud wrote:This is a TOUGH fight ... props to Burns for taking it.
If Chris brophy is on it that will be harsh on David haha. There's nithing unrealistic with the card i put up as Hearn said yesterday he trying to make Ryder v Mcewan and Cardle v Harrison. He said simmons and Camatcho will hopefully be made.bluenoseshf wrote:Haha i love all these "realistic" cards. Why would Hearn put on a stacked card full of the best scottish talent when he can practically sell out the show with Rickys fight alone. Eddie Hearn isnt in this business, to be the saviour of scottish boxing, hes in it to make money for himself and his fighters. On the brightside at least Rickys fights have been competitive so they are better than Warrens cards.
The likely card will be:
Ricky Burns vs Terrene Crawford
Stephen Simmons vs TBA
Michael Roberts vs TBA
Jon Slowly vs TBA
Chris Brophy vs TBA
Scott Cardle vs TBA
A couple from Campbell, C.Smith, Yafai, Appleby, Ryder.
Simmons might get a competitive fight but the rest will be fighting the usual collection of journeymen and Eastern Euro imprts.
I think Joshua is on this cardbluenoseshf wrote:Haha i love all these "realistic" cards.
