Some pretty interesting info regarding last years sports coverage on SKY Sports:

The most televised sports in 2013 on Sky Sports, including support programming, 3D and live coverage but excluding simulcasts and interactive programming, were:

Football - 8,462 hours
Golf - 5,072 hours
Cricket - 4,711 hours
F1® & Motorsport - 4,098 hours
Rugby union - 2,055 hours
Tennis - 1,348 hours
Rugby League - 1,145 hours
Boxing - 1,040 hours

Not at all. I think the amount of time SKY dedicated to boxing in 2013 is pretty impressive, for a niche sport.

1,000 divide by 52 weeks is circa 20+ hours a week.

Take the football figure, it would need to be on 25 hours per 24 hour day, so assume its a grand total across all standard and HD channels.

That aside, Matchroom have put on a remarkable number of cards in a year, more tv shows than I can remember 3-4 promoters added together doing.

Hennessy in his pomp churned them out, but would still hazard a guess he has done as many as FW has this year despite his TV woes.

Last year... Really? Fury only boxed once, in the States. How many DeGale and Galahad did Mick do? Can't see him doing as many as Fwank.

Hennessy put on 3 shows in the UK plus co-promoted Fury Vs. Cunningham.

allegedly put on 10 shows during 2013.

Matchroom put on an impressive 21 shows but about 5 where Prizefighters.

I have to doubt those figures too, darts surely had more hours than boxing.

Reading further down its interesting that it says "Sky Sports has confirmed at least 20 more events before 2016 as part of their partnership with Matchroom Boxing" So does that mean say 6 shows and 4 Prizefighters maybe for the next two years?? 20 over 2 years doesn't seem many to say they had 21 last year.

So would this mean potentially only another 5 shows for 2014?

There will be two PPV and any international fights that involve potential opponents of the Matchroom boys.

"At least" means "a minimum of" and not "only". The likelihood of just 10 shows in 2014 is laughable. With 5 shows in 2.5 months, I'd be surprised to see fewer than 15 and more likely to be closer to 20.

Also, I remember reading or hearing that the use of Prizefighter was under review and in need of freshening up. There are none in the current schedule.
