I'm just reading his autobiography, I must say he is pretty honest. So has anyone met him, spoke to him before?

I have not but would like to ...Controversial have you seen the you tube footage of him at the Hall of Fame Canastota ?? I was so impressed. My missus bought me his book for Christmas and it is at the bottom of my Christmas sack...Just below the Robert Mitchum book I wanted :-)

It's a good book mate, he really did have a shocking life as a kid, really does explain the way he was (is). Fighting grown men in the ring at 14 and beating them. Can you imagine being 14 and fighting heavyweights in their 20s !!!

He was an animal and what surprised me was Cus D'Amato wanted him to be bad, told him not to shake hands, to be mean and menacing and not show any sign of weakness.

Thats the one. Very impressed by mike. Cant wait to read the book...

One of my customers has and he said he was sound; he came to Doncaster and went to a few pubs and wanted some weed.

Another customer has a partner who provides security and is around Tyson when he is around the area; he said that he can be great sometimes but a bit surly and rude from time to time (like us all eh?)

The autobiography is 600 pages of revelation after revelation in a depth and eruditeness that has seldom if never been approached in celebrity bios.Tyson is as dirty and talented as they come

Yep. I know its been discussed on here before and people say Buster Douglas would've beat him regardless and Tyson was in shape for the fight, absolute rubbish. It's only when you read the build up, his life in general and what little training he was really doing you can see why he lost.

I met him in 2000 in Manchester City centre outside the Midland Hotel where he was staying before his 'fight' with Julius Francis.

He seemed like a nice guy, but he iss a man of the people.

He liked the adulation he was getting & I remember him saying that the adulation he received in England was very humbling & made him want to move over here, as he was considered to be a pariah in the US at that time.

Read the book and you"'ll feel like u were there. Mike's goes into incredible details on every subject in this 600 page epic.say what u like about the animal he is but don't deny he is the greatest living boxing historian, the most eloquent wordsmith sports has ever seen surpassing even ali.Tyson as a writer and literary figure belongs with Hemingway and mailer.he's a turn of the 19th century figure,as swashbuckling as he is a walking contradiction. At the end all u can do is 've happy he eventually found Contentment and peace.long may it continue

I met him before his second fight with Ruddock in 1991, on my first and only trip to the USA.

A very nice guy, tried very hard to answer my questions, despite him having great difficulty understanding my South African accent.

I met him by chance as he was walking around in the Mirage casino, maybe a day before the Ruddock fight. He had a huge entourage, but I managed to have a few words, very nice guy. I said to him this was my first visit to the USA and I wished him luck for his fight with Ruddock. I then asked him who was his toughest opponent to date, what fighters he liked to watch on film and if he was ever going to have a rematch with Douglas. He said Pinklon Thomas was his toughest opponent, he liked to watch Kid chocolate, and he said he will have a rematch with Douglas, after he knocks out Holyfield.

an old mate of mine chris blake boxed with tyson at an amateur show in sweden i think and all he spoke about was this young beast that was tyson but he spoke more about tyson screwing the local women 2 at a time when he was only a kid himself about 16 i think .

Simple. He was a rich, famous bad boy. Most celebs, even minor ones, get lots of women purely because they are on TV, Tyson would've been surrounded by women on a constant basis, many probably as drugged up as he was, easy pickings for him.
