Fwank has got Derry Mathews vs Richard Commey and Satchell vs Quaye at the Echo arena on Saturday 8th March.

Eddie has announced a Matchroom/Sky show on Sat 15th March, featuring Stephen Smith, Callum Smith, and possibly Fielding/Dodson.

I can't see both shows going ahead in such a big arena just a week apart. Which promoter is going to blink first and re-schedule ?

on paper i think eddies show already looks a lot stronger,

warrens show looks fairly poor to be honest

Are Mathews and Satchells fights both Commonwealth :??

I can see David Price's phone ringing soon. If he gets back to winning ways on 25th Jan in Germany, a return to his home city to flatten a bum on the undercard of one of these shows would be good for all concerned.....

Fwank got in there first as far as I can see, his show has been on the cards for a while. Is this a case of Eddie deciding to walk into Liverpool like billy big-bollocks, and try to brush the rival show to one side in terms of diluting ticket sales and media coverage ?

I doubt they will have derry Mathews on 8th march as theres a warren show that night in Gateshead with Frankie gavin Bradley saunders and jon lewis Dickinson v neil dawson so I don't think he will have 2 shows on the same night. boxrec have mathews Friday 7th march but I still cant see him having 2 shows on the same weekend!

At the moment Bunny's the only one with confirmed fights and with the likelihood of a Paul Butler world title fight, plus Liam Smith and Selkirk-Heffron might finally come off at the third attempt. Hearn on the other hand has 2 of the Smith's, I'd expect Paul on there too, plus Fielding. I don't think either will reschedule, but it will come down to opponents as to which sells better. Warren can put on 2 shows in a weekend, he controls the TV channel so he can have whatever dates he wants.

Assuming Hall-Butler and Selkirk-Heffron are made for this show the two shows will be:

There will be more prospects on both, but it's down to who you prefer as to which you'd buy a ticket for and which would do better.

Frankie Gavin's topping the bill in Gateshead. Hall's 34 in February, he doesn't have long and a big payday against Butler is his best option right now. Butler's the bigger draw of the two and the Liverpool show will sell better than Gateshead.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the deal to show Hall v Malinga on BN came with a requirement that the first defence be against Butler, on BN, in Liverpool.

Is Hall vs Butler bigger than a Hall vs McDonnell rematch?? Hall would want revenge for the previous defeat I remember Doncaster Dome was packed out for the fight. Could be on a Matchroom show in Manchester with Quigg on also.

I'm not sure that Hobson will be overly keen to give Jamie a chance of winning the belt back.

Butler is a decent draw in Liverpool, McDonnell bombed outdoors in Doncaster. Throw in the fact Hobson is highly unlikely to deal with Eddie and you've got Hall-Butler.

Not a chance of it being on a Matchroom show.
Firstly Hobson will not want to give McDonnell a shot after all that has gone on, unless forced to which doesnt look likely. Secondly Hobson has signed a deal with allegedly so they arent going to be showing a Matchroom card.

Hall v Butler is a big possibility for Aintree on March 1st.

All down to the IBF to approve Butler.

According to his Twitter, it seems that Tony Bellew is to be on the 15th March Matchroom card at the Echo.

Aintree's smaller than the Echo by a long way, it will be on the Echo bill unless they expect that to sell out, then it will be put on at Aintree. Butler and Fagan had well over a thousand come up from Ellesmere Port between them last month and it would be a lot more if a world title was on the line.

Great news for Liverpool , I only live 20 minutes from the echo so happy days

Seems like he's off the bill, Aintree still wouldn't make sense though, 4,000 wouldn't be enough for the show with or without him.

The last show Derry was on they had satchel and butler plus smith and didn't shift more than 4,000. Without Derry and with a big show a week later they wouldn't sell anywhere near that. They would be better of at Aintree
