The 17st 7lbs he weighed for Hersisia was the lightest of his pro career, so he's trained hard for Popov/Francis.

There was some banter between the 2 of them as well, Audley was saying as he stepped on the scales 'Revenge will be so sweet' and 'revenge is near.' Interesting to see that Francis has shifted quite a bit of weight as well, people can hardly say he hasnt been training hard.

Francis is quite capable of taking Audley the full 12 rounds.

Very capable of doing that but he wont. If the fight goes past 8rounds I will be astounded.

I agree.

Francis said he was 'disgusted' with his performance in his last fight and has been training really hard for the last 3 months.

I'd still think that Audley will beat him.

I dunno James. He's only three pounds lighter than when he fought Skelton.

3 pounds isn't much, but it probably indicates he is in slightly better shape.

You have to factor in that the WBF belt would allow Julius to make some money off a couple of soft title defences too, might give him a bit of a spur.

If the fight goes more than 8 rounds I will be disappointed in Harrison.

Eight rounds? I'd be surprised if it lasts past four, Francis has nothing to offer anymore apart from being a spolier and a punchbag. Steve Lillis in the Sport is right, Aud should be paying us to watch this crap match

I noticed Bob Mee has tipped Harrison to blow out Julius within four rounds in the Telegraph. I would like to see Harrison win in style, too, but perhaps in a longer fight. If Harrison were to force a stoppage late on, looking sharp in all the rounds, that would be perfect. At the moment, the jury is still out on his stamina.

Not a bad way of viewing things, although if it will be all Harrison and Francis is still there in the 8th, 9th, 10th - his punch power will come under even futher scrutiny.

There is still alot of questions left to be answered, and unfortunately I can't see any way a fight with Francis will answer them all. If he dominates on route to a late points win, people will criticise his power - if he wins early people will still be searching for answers on his stamina.

Its a lose-lose fight for me, because Julius has fallen back so far. I don't even think his resistance is particularly strong anymore. Skelton is a head hunting novice, Harrison's extra variety should make the difference.

Yes, if we're looking for Audley to go all the way you'd want a decisive stopage, not too late in the fight preferably. I remember seeing Vitali blow away Francis ( I think Julius wore a bowler hat into the ring! ) and Aud needs to do something like that.
I think he hits hard enough to take out Francis - some of those combinations Harrison has put together recently look good.
But Julius has been in with the best fighters in the world, and might be cagey enough to take Harrison late. Maybe even test that chin?
