Christmas and the aftermath. People involved in the game want time off over Christmas and people who may otherwise buy tickets are now skint.

Why can't the people who want time off have it and let everyone else get on with it?

Boxing is always slow around this time isn't it? Late summer too.

Because like most people you know you should cancel it but can't be arsed going through the rigmarole of canceling and then signing back up (plus a connection fee if you're with SKY) when it picks up again.

Your right. Most of the big British promoters stop mid-December and don't usually return until the first weekend of February. Same thing happens from late July / mid-August until the start of October. I never expect to see any televised British action from SKY or allegedly during these periods.

There is always something on in September. There is usually something in January too.

allegedly has three live shows this month, all on Jan 25 weekend

The only bills I know of in the UK are up here in Scotland. There is a Tommy Gilmour card then the Saltire one on the 25th. I will be attending the Saltire card.
