Rumours of him vs Spike O'Sullivan in March

He needs to be in a meaningful fight this year. He should go up against Buglioni that would sell well.

He went off to promote himself, as he was getting sick of how infrequently he fought under Hennessy.

Since then his career has come on leaps and bounds.

I just finished the Benn/Eubank book, The Hate Game. Very interesting read! All the best material is about Eubank doing funny, bonkers stuff. I suspect Jr might be prematurely believing his own hype.

I wanted to like Eubank Jr. when they were first showing his fights on Channel 5, but he's just such a bell-end. I'm not sure if he believes his own hype, or just trying to bask in his dad's reflected glory. But whatever it is, it's annoying. Throwing the odd decent combination, then standing in the ring to pose. He's still only had learning fights, yet he's acting like he's Muhammad Ali.

It doesn't help that every time he had a fight on Channel 5, the interviews afterwards were more to do with talking to his dad than him. He felt he needed to do this sort of thing to get noticed.

eubank vs ogogogogog would be big match up this year maybe for British, Warren was about another signing this month. thought it was going to eubank jr. maybe eubank will fight on a Hennessy show in march on a one fight deal.

I agree he's a tool, a middle class one at that. He's not had it tough like the old man but there are arguments you don't need to be I suppose so time will tell. If he cracked like his Dad then maybe he could get soemehere but I don't think he will. Unless he has a Hearns like transformation in power then he can't bother anyone at euro level and certainly not above.

Criticising him for being middle class seems unfair. We're all born into the families we're born into. It's not being middle class that makes him a tool.

The fact that he seems to think boxing is more about posing than fighting is what makes him a tool.

Yep I was agrreeing that point. My MC jibe was more to do with the point that I conceded anyway afterwards. As he's had an MC upbringing he 'may' not have the toughness to make it but we shall wait and see. I could of been clearer though I suppose.

Agreed. At the end of the day he's still very young with a decent skillset. His lack of power will hinder him but I'll still be interested to see how far he can go. He definitely has some ability.
Also, I do think he can actually improve on the power front with some adjustments in technique. A few fighters who started out as non-punchers have been able to do this. Junior Witter springs to mind.

Although a lot of people are tools when they are young, Eubank Jnr is a privately educated 24 year old man with a whole publicity machine and advice behind him - he isn't some daft 17 year old off your local estate.

He is a half decent fighter who will do well at domestic level if given the chance, but he is unlikely to go beyond that. That is certainly no criticism, yet when you act as if you are the next coming then it can be a problem.

I get your point and believe that an expensive education may open many doors it doesn't make one more intelligent. He'll not be as successful as his dad and I don't think he'll get to world level; lots of what is said is for the media and for effect - the publicity machine will push him to make a dick of himself, if someone buys a ticket or tunes in to watch him get knocked out they've still noticed him.

With his name and unbeaten record he will always get good work

I am still sitting on that fence with regards to my opinion on how well Chris Eubank Jr will do. I have seen him spar a few times against George Groves and without doubt he is a tough f*cker.

2014 is going to be a very interesting year for him.

I quite like Eubanks jr, waiting for him to develop his man strength, I think hes very strong minded and will surprise a lot of haters.
