Great spot, bennie. Words fail me though. Doesn't Tarver strike you as one of the most intelligent boxers in the game? Opinionated and articulate, I would not have put him down as yet another financial clown. Could be bad advice or a dodgy accountant but I'm shocked.

On another note with this fight, did anybody here read the article on Fightnews where Jones' coach admited that his charge in slowing up.

That is alarming, perhaps it is reverse psychology but I don't think so. Not even Don Turner ever said Evander Holyfield wasn't the same fighter as before.

It was revealed in the news that the WBA sent the gloves to Roy Jones home, the same gloves he used to beat Ruiz with, but I can’t find one of the websites that published it.

Ah, those would be the special Ruiz-beating gloves secretly provided to the Jones camp by the guy on the grassy knoll, *not* the ones Jones put on in full sight of representatives of the Ruiz camp and the Nevada athletic commission just before the fight. How he managed the prefight switch is still a sleight-of-hand-miracle mystery.

The same magical anti-Ruiz gloves were recently spotted in Vlad Klitschko's corner, disguised as a water bottle.

you can scoff all you want to, but imo there`s no way a limited boxer like roy jones could beat a atg like ruiz without resorting to foul play......
this just confirms what i always suspected.
magic gloves eh, should have guessed. :D
