Anyone know what's happened to him? I was just looking at his record and it's saying he hasnt fought in over 2 years! It's a real shame as I remember seeing Froch singing his praises after sparring him. He looked a real prospect.

I bet you only thought of him after coming across the news today of the former Liverpool footballer of the same name announcing his retirement today.

Haha. Na actually I was watching Mike Perez and it reminded me about Garcia. He's completely disappeared off the radar.

I seen him box live five times and he was the best prospect I had ever seen but there were romours of his poor attitude to training just Like Perez. Perez has sorted himself out now but Garcia was ment of signed to Di Bella a year ago and heard nothing since. if he trained hard there would not be many people in the world that would beat him

Luis enjoyed the Cork nightlife a bit too much. Apparently very, very lazy and not prepared to put the work in. Mike Perez was heading down the same route but copped himself on.

That's a real shame that is as he's clearly got a lot of ability! He's only 24 now I think so if he got his act together he could still make a run of it.

Everyone sung his praises when he turned over. He could have made himself a fixture in a very high profile division. I hope he gets his training sorted.

He speaks the truth. Apparently a big hit with Cuban boxers though.

Awesome ability, zero work ethic I think. Remember seeing him smash Christian Cruz in the Stadium one night and he was amazing, but he often blew hot and cold.
