Simple.... list a fighter, and the next poster writes the best performance of the above said person's career...

Or... for the lazy asses.... write a fighter, and in your opinion the best performance of their career...

Since I started I'll be lazy....

John "The Quiet Man" Ruiz

(and imho) best performance of his career was his two 'losing' efforts to Nicolai Valuev

No way ! It was the fight where he dropped Evander in the 11 th and took a UD. He was outstanding that night.

as stated it is imho; Ruiz was a more 'all around' fighter in my estimation with Valuev than any other heavyweight because the Russian was so damn big Ruiz couldnt clinch and maul the man to death like he did most everybody else; he was forced to throw jabs and combinations and while not the best in the world at it, looked 100% better during those fights than in any other.

That's my Dad's birthday. That and Valuev are the only two times I think Holyfield got screwed.

I thought Holyfield won the rubber match with Ruiz as well, but I can't really argue with the draw too much. I only scored it 115-113 for Holyfield, and it wasn't like it wasn't a close bout.

I thought he did too, but it was close and lame. Ruiz' acting on the body shot KO in fight II was a joke.

I'll have to go back and watch that specific moment your talking about. I hadn't seen the first 2 Ruiz vs Holyfield fights before because they happened before I was following the sport, and the 3rd one didn't exactly make me feel like they were fights I needed to see.

I'll go back to the 2nd fight though and watch for that specific moment you're talking about though. You said it was the 10th round right?

Yup, all 3 of the fights sucked.

The 2nd fight definitely kept my interest. Kinda shocking when you think about it. In the 11th, the "Boring Man" had all heart all action Evander Holyfield out on his feet.

That was the least lame one, great one shot KO from Holyfield.
