The greatest fighters per weight class....

Who has the best shot at beating them in perspective times in their career?

Take Ali for example... who has the best shot of beating the 1960's version? Who has the best shot at beating Ali from 1970-1974? Who has the best shot of beating Ali from 1975-1978?

(Other than those who were able to do it; i.e. Ken Norton, Leon Spinks & Joe Frazier)

1960's Stable:

Larry Holmes
Jack Dempsey

1970-1974 Stable:

Rocky Marciano
Evander Holyfield
Jersey Joe Walcott
Ezzard Charles
Gene Tunney

1975-1978 Stable:

Joe Louis
George Foreman
Lennox Lewis
(The rest of the top twenty all-time heavyweights, imho)
