I think Norton beats all of those guys, the most likely to beat him I would think is Baer and Ezzard Charles.

You seriously reported Saad for that joke? Not since the days of Rover has someone done something that lame. Congratulations, I now have absolutely no respect for you.

Report that

The rules are here for a reason. The prisons are full of people who didn't follow the rules.

I come here to discuss boxing and not other posters.

Then go ahead and stop trolling. It was a harmless joke. Now you've changed the topic to reporting me, didn't you? That certainly deserved an emoticon.

I made a topical post. That can not be disputed. The thread was immediately hijacked. That also can not be disputed.

Out of respect to the proprietor I will not desecrate the board with off topic threads about personal piques.

I will be the bigger man and let my detractors have the last word.

You're the one keeping it going "Off Topic", I'm a grown man so I wouldn't bother reporting you but you're doing no different than anyone else. If you have no sense of humor at all you could have just ignored it and let the thread slide away into oblivion. But you can't ignore or laugh at anything because you're a troll.

Ahhh, the old gift of the last word routine. LMAO, your behavior and "man" are not even in the realm of reality.

He wrote "Ali" in the aim of, I would assume, being humorous. I would hardly call that hijacking a thread.

Not to detract, but you may have taken it a bit more seriously than necessary.

Of course it was a joke, and with his lust for Ali I thought it was a funny one. This guy is like a 2 year old.

I think a match with Archie would have been a masterful counter-punching battle; I tend to consider Archie to be the better in terms of defense, Norton in terms of offense. I think, though, Norton takes the decision.

Ezzard Charles probably wins a close, but unaminous decision over Norton. Charles would slug it out when need be and was very hard to put away--- one of the true masterful 'text book' boxers. In his prime he was something special.

James J. Braddock, very hard to put away, and had a damn good right hand. Could slug it out when need be, but had a very basic/text book style. However, Norton takes the decision.

Max Baer, one of the strongest heavyweights of all time, and one of the toughest. If my memory serves me right Baer was the last of the great heavyweights to ever compete in a fight that went a full twenty rounds. I like how Joe Louis said it of Baer "He could of been the greatest of us all had he been more serious." If Baer fought like he did against Schmeling, Carnera, Galento, etc. he probably would of got the better of Norton inside of five rounds.

Floyd Patterson, very underated by some, but was very fast and very defensive--- with a damn good punch as well. He certainly proved he was better after his championship years were over, with wins over Chuvalo, and Quarry and being robbed by Jimmy Ellis, etc. this is the one match I think that would of been the most interesting because it poses the biggest question mark--- both Norton and Patterson had soft chins. I give alot of edges to Patterson, but Norton was damned good too. It's too hard for me to decide.

Nice break down and I agree with most of it. Except given Norton's exceptional ability to deal with slick boxer types like Ali, Young, etc. I think he'd have a good chance of edging Charles via decision.
