Konstantin Airich has failed a medical. @DavidPrice_1 now faces Istvan Ruszinski (22 fights 12 Wins (8 KOs)) #PriceRuszinski

Looks like Price is facing a change of opponent for Saturday evening. Not been the best of starts for him has it!

Heard he ring walks about 6.15pm on Saturday.

He's been KO'd by Joshua's next opponent, Darch in 1 RD and beat by Lewison in a 4 rounder.

Should be just what the doctor ordered, a quick KO and job done for Pricey.

Can't blame Price for this at all. A confidence booster is vital just now.

I dont think it is what the doctor ordered though. Price needs rounds. That was a big part of his undoing against Thompson aswell. He'd had too many fights against soft opposition that went down as soon as he touched them and he learnt fornicate all from it. As soon as he fought a live opponent who didnt fall apart with the first punch landed on them, he was in trouble.

Rounds should come later, confidence is most important right now, blow a couple out early, then bring in someone tough to give him a few rounds before the summer, then another couple like that before the year is out.

He just needs to get in the ring. Its a complete knock over job but actually lacing the gloves and stepping in the ring for real is what he needs I imagine.

The replacement is seriously out of his depth against one of the biggest punchers in the sport. I just hope he doesn't get killed or cabbaged.

Why cant he get a confidence booster and get rounds in aswell though? I dont see what he's going to learn by blowing out some tomato can. The only type of confidence he'll get from that is false confidence.

If Ruzsinszky was British he'd be ranked 29th in Britain according to BoxRec.

The guy is the sort of no-hoper that a prospect destroys on their debut.

He's worthless, a very poor opponent even at 3 day's notice.

Its disappointing. But as I say, he is coming off two defeats that ruined his career. A knock over job was always going to be the case.

Beating a totally worthless can, proves nothing.

Airich was decent. Fighting this guy makes Price look worse than not fighting at all.

Seems like out of all the upcoming fights involving British heavyweights, Joshua could possibly have the hardest opponent!!!

Why don't they see if anybody from the Queensbury / semi-pro / white collar scene is available?......

Wow, you're right.

That's poor stuff from our top heavyweights.

Fury has managed to avoid that by bringing Basile in, who while he isn't great, he's still better than Darch.

Fury's opponent could well change yet and be even worse than this guy. Good point though Lilly.

Perhaps. Still not exactly the type of opponent 21-0 potential world title challenger should be facing though.

Disappointing all round really.

With Vitali retiring it means freeing up a belt. I can see a whole host of heavyweights now just sitting tight, plodding along against sub standard opposition waiting until they get a shot. Fury and Chisora included.

Someone like Danny Hughes would be ideal for Price. A failry mobile and durable heavyweight who doesn't bang too hard but will give Price a few good rounds.

X2. Total and utter garbage, and we'd be saying that if he faced Joshua or Hughie !!
