I'm putting this interview here, hopefully soon i can get my interviews on somewhere other than forum posts and my tumblr/ facebook.

Adam Johnston: You have boxed for England in the 3 nations and got a silver medal and had a good amateur career, what made you turn pro?

Isaac Lowe: I got to the age of 18 and I was getting robbed in a lot of my amateur fights, they wouldn’t give me fair decisions. I always fought like a pro, so when I turned 18 I thought the time is right to turn pro. I thought I may as well do it and get paid instead of getting a plastic medal.

AJ: How do you feel your pro career is going so far?

IL: My pro career is going excellent so far, I’m 6-0 with 3 KO’s. I’m just working my way up, I’m a super bantamweight really and I’m boxing at featherweight and I’ve been hurting them so once I get my weight down and get into my proper weight division no-one will be able to stop me. I’m too big, I’m too strong, I can box, I can fight and I know all the tricks to win a fight.

AJ: You’ve looked good in your fights so far and have a fan friendly style.

IL: yeah that’s what I try to do, it’s important to get the W on your record. People work hard and spend £30, £40 they want to see some action, I’ve been a fan myself and you don’t want two people walking around a ring all night, you want them to get stuck in. I don’t just want to win the fight I want to provide great entertainment to.

AJ: I was impressed with your stoppage of Delroy Spencer, he loses frequently but doesn’t get stopped very often.

IL: Yeah well they didn’t want me to take it, I think it was only my third or fourth fight I can’t really remember (Third). I know you said he gets beat a lot but he very, very rarely gets stopped. Last time he got stopped before that was against Kal Yafai (Delroy was stopped on a TKO by Liam Hanrahan) in-between the Yafai and Lowe fights). Actually I never got out of first gear, I was just playing with him. I was just messing around and it shows just how much power I have got, when I let them bod shots go I don’t care who you are you’re not getting back up from them, you saw that on that night.

AJ: Which fight that you’ve had so far has been your hardest?

IL: The hardest up to now was when I boxed in Oldham, I boxed Pavels Senkovs. He was a tough kid but I gave away 6ibs in weight and he was a big puncher a very big puncher. On that night I had to show my boxing skills, it wasn’t just about going forward it was about using my boxing brain that night. It was about boxing him and out punching him and that’s what I done. I took a test and he caught me with two or three shots on the chin and it just shows you I’m tough as I came back and won every single round. I’m now looking for title fights.

AJ: So is that your aim then for this year?

IL: Yeah I want a title fight, at my weight there is not many about (boxers) at my weight so after 29th of March I want the English and by the end of the year even pushing for British because once I’m at that level there is no-one out there who can match me.

AJ: Is there any news on your opponent for March 29th yet?

IL: No not yet, it won’t be long though. I can’t get fights at my weight at super bantam or featherweight. In my last fight I fought, I can’t remember his name.

AJ: Kristian Laight I think.

IL: Yeah Kristian he boxed Tom Stalker on his debut. He’s a welterweight you know what I mean he’s 9 stone 11, I’m giving away 8-9ibs maybe a little bit more it’s something you can’t be doing that all the time. I just want to box someone at my weight and who wants to test themselves against me because then at my weight I can show them what I can do. I’m fighting out of my comfort zone at the minute and if anyone wants to fight me then let’s do it now.

AJ: That’s a good attitude to have.

IL: Thanks, they’ve got me ranked 16th at super featherweight (boxing news) and I’ve only had 6 fights you know what I mean. I don’t know why they’ve moved me up the ranking, it must have been because of my last two fights, fighting at the heavier weight. They must think I’ve put weight on but I haven’t I only walk around at 9 stone 3, that’s my weight and once I get someone at my weight I can show you what I can do.

AJ: Hopefully you will get those fights at your weight.

IL: Yeah I’ve only had three fights at my weight and they were the three that I have stopped which shows you the difference when I have been at 9 stone or 9 stone 1, what I can do to people, I put them to sleep. So it just shows that when I do drop that weight, those last few pounds what I can do to people. So the proof is on paper there, it’s in black and white that half my fights haven’t been at 9 stone. There are people who stay undefeated to get a title fight, why don’t people just forget the 0 and test themselves against other people because if you’re going to be the best you’ve got to fight the best. I’m not here for business and money, I’m here to test myself against the best and get belts. I don’t want to be protected I want to fight the best and be the best, that’s the only way to do it is to fight the best and fight who the public wants you to fight. To get the big fights you have to fight anyone, anytime, anyplace and I’m willing to do that.

AJ: Your next fight will be in Blackpool again, you’ve had 5 of your fights there already. Is it somewhere you enjoy fighting?

IL: Blackpool is just like home to me, it’s only 30 miles down the road, it’s a lovely place to box it’s a great arena. It’s been good to me anyhow up to now, I‘ve always won there so yeah I love boxing in Blackpool it’s just like a second home, it’s a fantastic place.

AJ: Do you have many traveling fans come with you?

IL: Yeah I have a few traveling fans, I sell a few tickets and a few people come down to watch me from Blackpool. The public are just starting to back me, after a few more fights and I start getting up the ladder people will start to know me. The crowds will be there, the crowds won’t be the problem, once people see me on Youtube or see me live and people see me and how I fight you know what I mean. Ricky Hatton was a famous fighter I followed as an amateur, when I was growing up I watched him as he was always in great fights and gave the public what they want. So if I can do a bit like that. Mike Tyson I fight like that going forward, that how I where I got my boxing from. People got behind them for doing what they’ve done so it will come, it will take time. I’m flying out to France on Monday to train with Tyson Fury and try their training camp and it will be good to get the experience off them.

AJ: How did these training sessions with Tyson come about?

IL: I’ve known Tyson for many many years now, he’s always been a friend from the traveller’s background. We’ve always been close and he’s asked me a few times to go over with my trainer Bob Howard and that. And then the time was right, I was young and fancied a change, something different, experience. I thought it would be great to go out there and train with Tyson, get out there and learn a little bit from them and take it on board and I’ll be a ten times better fighter. It’s the experience I want, I want the big fights but I know it’s the experience I need.

AJ: Are you excited about Eddie Chambers joining the camp?

IL: That’s what I mean, going into camp with former world champions (Title challenger) and you see them punch the bag or see how they stand or on the pads and just take a little bit off each. They’ve been there and they’ve done it being former world champions. You’re training with the best and just take a bit off Eddie, Tyson and all the rest I will be better, I’ll be ten times the better boxer. So it will be good to get out there in the sunshine, nice and relaxing in training. You can get your head down, there is nowhere to go so it’s just box. By the 29th of March I don’t care who’s in front of me I’ll be beating them and I’m looking for a KO so they better be ready. Just look at him from Darlington who won the IBF title, Stuart Hall. I’ve watched him box many times and I’m not being big headed but I could beat Stuart Hall now with one hand and I’ve only had six fights. He the IBF world champion, put me in with Stuart Hall now and I’ll wipe the floor with him. So if he can get a shot and I’m glad it’s a British guy who won it, he’s a British lad. I’m happy he won it but it just shows you and I know for a guaranteed fact that if I was in the same ring with the same shoes I’d have him out within six rounds. I’m in a different league compared to him. He has the experience, he’s a world champion that’s been in the big fights. He’s got the experience of doing twelve rounder hasn’t he but I’ve done what? Six rounds but I can guarantee you, put me in the ring with him and I’ll have him out within six rounds, no more than six.

AJ: With all these training camps with Tyson, do you think it may lead to you fighting on Tyson’s undercards in the future?

IL: I’m hoping to, that’s part of the plan Tyson to get big fights and I’m fighting on the undercards. I want the public to see me, that’s part of it to get recognition and people to see you. So that’s the plan, Tyson’s fighting on the 15th (February) and that’s too close for me, it’s a bit too early but I’m on the 29th of March and then when Tyson’s back on any big shows or the summer one versus Chisora. I might get on the undercard of that or see that I can do whatever with him. Yeah of course that’s part of my mission and it would be great to do that. I hope I can get on, not just for me or Lancashire but I am a British fighter so let’s try and get the best for all of us. It’s not just for me but the fans and everyone that supports all of us and always at the back of me.

Since the interview Isaac opponent for the March 29th bill has been announced as Ian Bailey.

He certainly shares Tyson's confidence that's for sure.

nothing wrong with a bit of confidence, he's a good fighter to watch having seen him 4 times and planning on going to his next one.

Fine line between confidence and arrogance, suggesting he could beat Stuart Hall in 6 rounds with one hand is bordering on the latter, any sane person can see that right now Stuart Hall would have him out of there inside 6 rounds, rather than the other way round.
