Michael Moorer to KO Hide and then Hide to cry and quiver in his usual fashion after the fight. Moorer showed serious guts versus Bert Cooper and Evander Holyfield (particularly the rematch) that Hide never showed, ever.
Hide had no chin, no heart, no wins of any note whatsoever. How can any normal person pick him over anyone?

Since MM didn't have the sturdiest of chins and HH could punch I guess there might be about a 5-10% chance that Hide could catch him, but otherwise MM would have dispatched Hide quicker than Bowe did.

I met Hide in Las Vegas when I was at a Samuel Peter fight. That night I met Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Al Cole, Jeremy Williams, Ray Austin all of whom were so polite, courteous, and very accommodating in posing for pictures. Hide was the rudest ,most aloof, uncooperative, delusional, ignorant, egotistical, surly man I have ever met. What a pratt. Moorer knocks him senseless in double quick time....hopefully.

Yes, agreed. Hide has a chance. But Hide only wins very occasionally.

You're badly misinformed. Holyfield's 'bad ticker' was a misdiagnosis of a problem that occurred in hospital
after the fight.
Moorer beat Evander Holyfield, Bert Cooper, Frans Botha, Axel Schulz, Alex Stewart. He beat Bonecrusher Smith who could still whack and crushed Vasily Jirov when basically shot.
But beating Evander Holyfield is enough.
Herbie Hide beat
nobody.
Whether you're a fan or not should not influence your judgement.

I would say that's the most likely result.

I'm beginning to realise the level of intellect I'm debating with here, but anyway, go on then. If you're dismissing Michael Moorer's opponents then please take us through Herbie Hide's opponents.
One Moorer opponent I omitted, for obvious reasons, was Vaughn Bean. But even when Moorer outpointed Bean he defeated a man who was much more tough, competent and closer to world level than Herbie Hide.

His shoulder was hurt. That wouldn't have stopped him from knocking out Herbie Hide.

As for the others, the Cooper that MM fought would have knocked out Hide in 1 round too.

The Cooper that MM fought would be a toss-up with Hide, imo.
Moorer batters him. How anyone can pick Herbie over any fighter who actually had like a win over a live body is just beyond me.

As soon as Moorer lands, whether it be on the chin, or on the shoulder (like Vitali did) it's over, different levels entirely. One was the Heavyweight champion of the world, the other one, with all due respect, was the two time pound shop heavyweight champion of the world.

I know Cooper had his problems and was many times too strung out to fight, but when he was on... we're talking about a man who dragged Ray Mercer, Evander Holyfield and Michael Moorer into Hell, versus
Herbie Hide.
Hide would crap himself in such violent contests. As soon as Cooper lands Hide is gone.

Hide could be very dangerous, unpredicatable and had exceptional speed and some nasty power. There was some real talent there and just for a short while he made Riddick look uncomfortable and frustrated. But in the great scheme of things he was a small heavyweight, reliant upon an aggressive, risk-taking style that would always put him in danger and his rather odd personality outside of the ring often meant he was not fully physically or mentally prepared.
Being a small man, who needed to take big risks in the ring and without some iron discipline underpinning your gameplan would invetitably get exposed by someone like Moorer. I'll go for Moorer, despite the fact that he had drove Atlas round the bend a few times, inside six rounds.

Hide knock out TNT Tucker

I'm not sure why Hide gets dismissed because of claims that he didn't beat anyone decent. If thats the case you could also dismiss Gerry Cooney.
Hide could really whack and was very quick. Its a toss up fight for me but I wouldn't rule Hide out, his power could hurt someone like Moorer.

Moorer would thrash Cooney too if that makes you feel better.

Vladimir Vladimir Vladimir.
Tony Tucker was a totally washed up 40 year old drug addict who had lost his last three big fights in a row, vs Seldon, Akinwande, and Norris.
Herbie Hide did not fight the prime Tony Tucker who fought Mike Tyson. The prime Tony Tucker who fought Mike Tyson would KO Herbie Hide in 1.

Doesn't make any difference to me, just a stupid argument to use. What top fighters did Razor Ruddock ever beat? A few old timers but that was it. Does't mean he wasn't a dangerous fighter. Hide had a punchers chance against Moorer whose chin wasn't grade A.
