Lee Selby v Rendall Munroe

Selby,s British Featherweight title and vacant European FW title on the line this saturday
TBH im a bit surprised there hasnt been more interest on here for this one
Interesting little scrap this i reckon,I automatically thought Selby would win this at a canter but the more i start to think about it i think Munroe could give Selby some problems,i dont think Rendall has deteriated to the point where he cant compete at title level,he does seem to labour when he,s not motivated but Lee should should bring out the best he has left,im still siding with a Selby points win but hopefully Munroe will make it competitive
Cant believe that was nearly 4 years ago he fought Nishioka for the WBC in Tokyo
Shame he never really capatalised on that,i thought competing at that level would have opened more doors

I fancy Munroe in this one. Should be a most excellent pugilistic contest.

Ive always liked Munroe, especially since he comes across so well on twitter by having convo's with fans.
Id like to see him get a good win here but not sure if it will happen. Its a decent test for Selby right enough and he should have too much for Munroe if he is anywhere near as good as he thinks he is.

I would be amazed if Selby does not stop Rendall.

I think this is a mismatch, munroe to retire on the stool around the half way mark.

I think maybe people might be making too much of the Quigg stoppage,Quigg,s a world class fighter IMO regardless of his paper title and could stop most Super Bantams me thinks if giving the oppurtunity apart from Rigondeaux,Santa Cruz and Frampton so not too bad getting stopped by the bodyshots, although who really knows how the inactivity since then will play out
Selby on the other hand who i rate highly maybe flattered with the Smith and Simpson stoppages and the disection of Lindsay who not forgetting got a lesson from Simpson
On paper it might be the toughest test of Lee,s career but if Rendall is shot then Selby should get him out of there
Selby close UD

X3. Selby will shine this weekend, he's in front of his home fans and style-wise I think Munroe is made for him.

I don't doubt Selby wins but I think it goes the distance.

Really hope Rendall can pull this off!!
Unfortunatly can't see it though, do think we will learn a lot about Selby and if he is really as good as the Sky sponsored bandwagon think he is.
Its actually a decent card, I've slagged Matchroom off in the past for their 'stacked' cards that have plenty of names on them but all in fights we all know whos winning...but this one has more of a trade feel to it maybe less names but better matched fights Selby/Munroe, Ress/Buckland, Pace/Cook, Ochieng/Evans all could be interesting fights.

IMO this will be a repeat of Munroe v Quigg 2, only Selby will stop Munro earlier.

Munroe is shot to shit. I'm not as sold on Selby as some to be but he'll be too much for Rendall.

Agreed, ashame as I liked Munroe in his pomp
Selby is very overrated, he showed a few showboating moments and thought he was the 2nd coming of Naseem Hamed, would love to see Munoroe set a high pace and keep it going but think he is past his best and will be a wide ud/late stoppage

X4 I agree also Selby looks like he has a good chin for this level too. As for World Class I'm unsure have to see should he get the chance.
I'd have loved to see Selby face Salido he's the only champ at that weight I've seen fight a few times. Apart from Jhonny Gonzalez blasting out Abner Mares in 1.

This fight will be an anti climax, can see it being quite boring

I think Munroe is being slightly underrated here.
That said, I pick an enlivened and on his game Selby to beat him.

He was promoted by Baloney then Hatton, he didn't get a chance to take advantage of his high ranking.

Apart from the mandatory world title shot?

I would go along with that, I don't think this will be a classic will go for a Selby points win.

I felt that on paper it was a very poor card and fair play to Eddie and matchroom for filling the arena and creating a great buzz about the fight..
I also think that Munroe is shot and Selby will look great tmw night
