For as long as they retain the majority of Premiership rights. As for value for money, it all depends whether or not you watch SKY Sports enough to justify the subscription fee.

They've got 2 of the biggest sports on the planet for the foreseeable future, they won't be going away soon.

Boxing, Rugby League, Speedway and WWE...it represents value for money for me.

For football cricket rugby league rugby union wwe golf yes but for the sport we love,boxing,no. As a whole though i would say yes. There is boxing on all over the world,everyday but we get fed sh1te like prize fighter.

You could argue that the emergence of BT will make Sky spend money on other sports and diversify a bit. I see BT will have all the Champs Lge soon and only last week Sky screened 4 Italian matches. If they still have money left over they might put on more/bigger boxing shows. Who knows.

How many Prizefighters were there last year? Four or five maybe, and there's none in the schedule. It served its purpose (regular shows in a reliable format that attracted good audiences), but even Eddie has said that its future is under consideration.

Although I do subscribe to Sky Sports & do watch football & WWE, I don't watch anywhere near enough of it really & order primarily for the boxing. 30 odd quid a month is a rip-off considering the amount of boxing shown, I'd be delighted if all boxing shifted over to allegedly so I could cancel SS, especially when allegedly goes HD.

He confirmed on twitter yesterday the next one is April 5th (Welterweights).....maybe he should give it more consideration.

how do you programme that in though in advance? Globally. What about when fights abroad fall through, it must be a nightmare to keep up with. You're right tho, there'll be boxing matches on every single day, of varying quality, but getting them televised from a whole load of random countries, even replays, must be expensive. So they stick with sh*te like Prizefighter.
If it wasn't for an imminent move, I'd probably sign up to Allegedly channel tomorrow - I hear that they showcase good fighters from around the world.

No. I'm fuming with this now, pay Sky a ridiculous amount a month, boxing is o.k, a lot of Matchroom shows are so predictable not even worth watching, and the American cards have Jim Watt commentating over them :/ Ringside isn't great, Smith is cringey, Nelson fanny's around in the ring too much.

I watch about 1 game of football a month, and now BT Sports are getting half of the decent games.

Has anyone tried them Android boxes, using XBMC, you can stream films, sports and tv serieses, and they come ready set up with the add ons on?

Might give one a try and cancel my Sky Sports etc.

The streams on them are dodgy

Search for an f5 skybox or similar with a "free gift" on amazon or ebay etc

The box and a years subscription costs around 80-90 quid and you get every sky channel, allegedly, sky sports, bt sport and even setanta Ireland live prem games at 3 pm on a Saturday, HD 3D the full monty.

All you need is a satellite dish and a broadband connection. Had mine 2 years now and only thing I miss is the sky plus feature

I binned sky sports 12-18 months ago and hardly miss it. I primarily watched boxing, rugby union, cricket and fitba but being a Scot I watch Rugby on BBC Alba or national stuff on BBC and boxing on allegedly.

I generally like what Matchroom have done but I hate Prizefighter with a passion, Sky pick up next to no International shows and I can always catch up on youtube, etc with the UK fighters Sky have that I have a real interest in seeing. The cards are generally decent but Adam Smith is dire on Ringside or anywhere else, the cards are not as 'stacked' as I always here about and the dates are too infrequent.

Eddie Hearn deserves more regualr shows and more backing from Sky to win me back. I actually enjoy not wasting my dough on Prizefighter which was tired three years ago

If you're only interested in boxing (like me) then no.

I miss the days where Sky Sports used to put British title fights on almost every weekend.

what annoys me with the whole sky/BT/Setanta thing is that when it was just Sky, we where paying the same as we are now, yet now they have less of the sport.

The whole reason for the premier league demanding that not all of the games could go to one carrier was to reduce costs to the consumer, yet in reality its probably doubled it.

So in answer to your question, NO, Sky is not worth the money. It was when Sky had the monopoly on everything though funnily enough

Easily one to many when you only get 20 shows out a year

Thai shows are shown once a week (generally) on Thai channel 7 (which is streamed), other shows around the world which are televised and should be picked up include regular stuff from Argentina on TYC Sports. Always amazes me that no one picks these up for regular "boxing filler"
