Well I'd suggest you really need to do your homework better then. I'll allow the betting experts on here to explain how your sentence doesn't actually make any sense (those odds are nonsensical if you're trying to assert that Smith was the favourite). While presumably your hyperbole was based purely on the Welshsports article from 2011, which has no facts to substantiate its claims whatsoever, but actually claims that it was Selby who was a 100-1 outsider to win by KO.

By contrast, this comprehensive and informed article very clearly shows you that both your assertion and that of the Welshsports writer (Gary Baker) are ludicrous:

As you can see, the best odds available for a Selby KO were 14-1.

If Lee Selby tells me he was 100/1 outsider to win, then I believe him, his uncle won £22,000 on him winning.

I enjoyed the interview, Selby is an excellent boxer and he may get right to the top.

Yep, you're right - you should completely ignore all the factual evidence and just take the word of one individual. You'll go far in journalism

Which is completely different to what is said in the article, that's my only point. Got no time for sloppy journalism....
anyway, getting back on track, I expect Selby to win and hope he gets the opportunity on the world stage as I'm keen on him as a fighter and suspect he'll be one of these types who raises his game to the level he's fighting at
