voted for Earl. Obviously if he loses against Vanzie his stock falls, but you against him would be very exciting to watch, 50-50 etc, 2 front foot, brave fighters.

went for Murray. IMO would be a cracking fight.

For me out of the list it is Kevin Bennett, ex champion whoose stock didn't go down much in defeat, but is only on a par (at best) with a good few on the list.

I believe Winters was in line for the British title fight, so maybe an even more winnable fight there would propel your career.

I don't know who the Commonwealth Council are lining up, but I think you now deserve a fight for the title and now is as good a time as any to have it. You've done some rounds and confidence must be at an all time high.

btw, i have now been told that the Muya fight is being screened on the 20th, due to this week's Ringside being a live show.

Yes, the comparison there favours you. What are the chances of a good workout before you fight Bennett? I think you deserve one.

In an ideal world, I would have a 10 rounder before going for a title, or at least another 8, but I am peaking, and I think the 8 rounds with Muya did me the world of good, and that along with Hibbert has been good preparation for a title fight (former commonwealth challenger, and a former commonwealth champion). Don't forget that Muya is a naturally fit guy (aren't they all from Kenya?), and I finished the stronger, and was busier in the last, getting a second wind.

I also have the experience of my past career to draw on.....I am confident that I am ready.

Keep us informed, mate. I'm sure all the Boxrec boys would turn up to cheer you home (incidentally, I didn't realise Colin Lynes took Bennett apart with body shots when they fought).

Meager would be a step backwards at the moment Dean Cookie or Bennet would be good fights though.

Bennett is no longer Commonwealth champion, but I would imagine will be installed high in the Commonwealth rankings.

So maybe if you get a solid opperator (like a Muya) for the vacant title, Bennett will be your first defence.

Gary Ryder broke Bennett on half with body shots also

Who told you Bennett wasn't still commonwealth champ?

I thought I read that Bennett vacated to challenge Cook, I'm sure it was on either Fightnews or SO that said, perhaps someone can clarify.

I thought I'd heard the same thing Stu, although I'm sure he was announced as C'wealth champ for the Cook fight.

I read in the Hartlepool Mail that Bennett had given up his title (the Mail even quoted Bennett as such), but obviously not.
