Anyone got any fight pics of my fight at Bridgend with Muya?
Much appreciated.
Much appreciated.
Phillips would destroy Meager in my opinion. Walk through him. I'd like to see Dean fight Cookie.Kilburn wrote:Lee Meager for me. Good blend of styles I reckon.
Yes, I am aiming for the Commonwealth next.stujones wrote:For me out of the list it is Kevin Bennett, ex champion whoose stock didn't go down much in defeat, but is only on a par (at best) with a good few on the list.
I believe Winters was in line for the British title fight, so maybe an even more winnable fight there would propel your career.
I don't know who the Commonwealth Council are lining up, but I think you now deserve a fight for the title and now is as good a time as any to have it. You've done some rounds and confidence must be at an all time high.
Tricky. Bennett's cute. He and Cookie are the toughest out there right now in my opinion.Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Yes, I am aiming for the Commonwealth next.stujones wrote:For me out of the list it is Kevin Bennett, ex champion whoose stock didn't go down much in defeat, but is only on a par (at best) with a good few on the list.

Hopefully you wont be saying that after you see my fight with Muyabennie wrote:Tricky. Bennett's cute. Yes, the comparison there favours you. What are the chances of a good workout before you fight Bennett? I think you deserve one.Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Hopefully you wont be saying that after you see my fight with Muyabennie wrote:Tricky. Bennett's cute. In an ideal world, I would have a 10 rounder before going for a title, or at least another 8, but I am peaking, and I think the 8 rounds with Muya did me the world of good, and that along with Hibbert has been good preparation for a title fight (former commonwealth challenger, and a former commonwealth champion). Don't forget that Muya is a naturally fit guy (aren't they all from Kenya?), and I finished the stronger, and was busier in the last, getting a second wind.bennie wrote:Yes, the comparison there favours you. Who told you Bennett wasn't still commonwealth champ?stujones wrote:Bennett is no longer Commonwealth champion, but I would imagine will be installed high in the Commonwealth rankings.
So maybe if you get a solid opperator (like a Muya) for the vacant title, Bennett will be your first defence.
Gary Ryder broke Bennett on half with body shots alsobennie wrote:Keep us informed, mate. I'm sure all the Boxrec boys would turn up to cheer you home (incidentally, I didn't realise Colin Lynes took Bennett apart with body shots when they fought).
I thought I read that Bennett vacated to challenge Cook, I'm sure it was on either Fightnews or SO that said, perhaps someone can clarify.Dynamite Dean Phillips wrote:Who told you Bennett wasn't still commonwealth champ?stujones wrote:Bennett is no longer Commonwealth champion, but I would imagine will be installed high in the Commonwealth rankings.
