Clive Bernath at Secondsout is reporting that IBF will allow the Richard Hall vs Rico Hoye bout go ahead as an eliminator providing the winner fights Woods (in what I suppose will be a final eliminator) within 90 days.

This is even better for Woods, lets hope Hall and Hoye beat each other up.

will be his 4th! not many brits are that fortunate. Hobson has worked wonders.

Woods should have won the rematch with Johnson - like Frank Bruno should have beaten a fat Tim Witherspoon in 1986. Both men blew a golden opportunity to win a world title.

Agree, I personally think Johnson looked a little old in the rematch and was not the same fighter in the first contest (I actually thought the rematch was alot closer aswell). Woods should have won.

Even though it looks like he might get four opportunities, the first three have been deserved IMO. Woods deserved his first crack for being a long standing British, Commonwealth and European champion. He dreq in his second crack, so deserved a third. His third fight was close enough to warrant a high ranking and he deserves to be in an eliminator.

I still think its a bad option, cause its looking increasingly unlikely that Woods can beat Johnson, cause he has failed in two attempts. If Calzaghe beats Johnson, then he beats Woods clearly also.

The WBA is the option Woods should go for.

That's such a load of bullcrap - I like Woods, but what has he done to deserve another title shot (or title eliminator, or this-is-really-honestly-the-absolutely-final-title eliminator) after his loss to Johnson? Since it's looking increasingly like Johnson/Calzaghe isn't going to happen, if that fight indeed gets canceled, the IBF should have the winner of Hall/Hoye face Johnson, though perhaps at a later date than the Johnson/Calzaghe bout is scheduled for.

Well, Woods did score a draw and a close decision loss with Johnson, they were both good fights. It would be Hall's fourth title fight aswell, and he is getting them for the same reasons as Woods, cause he does okay in World title fights.
