YASSINE EL MAACHI RETURNS - WANTS PRIZEFIGHTER ON APRIL 5TH

"The Showman" Yassine El Maachi returns to the ring after 2 years out through injury on 22nd March and wants to win Prizefighter for the second time on 5th April.

When last seen El Maachi was ranked number 19 in the world but injury and an operation has kept him out.

He is back and now has a UK passport so can aim for English and British titles.

But first he wants to win Prizefighter for the second time.

The only thing stopping him is being allowed in.

If Sky and Matchroom want the best and highest ranked fighters in El Maachi must be granted a place.

Good to hear he is back But sometimes his style is so frustrating to watch. Could you imagine if Junior witter enters and they both get in the final again. That would be a nightmare to watch.

However very glad to hear that he's back. good luck to him!

With due respect thats rubbish. Delivers nothing???

Beat European number 4 Jimmy Colas

Won Prizefighter Rated 19 in the world. Got an IBF Eliminator then got injured.

If you want to hate hate but at least have a credible argument.

I wont comment again on this.

I'm pleased he's back and healthy; he's an effective fighter. Who was the lad that beat the Ukranian knockout artist on one of the Goodwin bill last year? He could really fight and had a really good attitude - I'd watch him box again.

What's he ever done? Won prizefighter, but who really gives a shit about that? He hasn't beaten anyone, was beaten by Vassell and McDonagh, stopped by Flournoy and KO'd by Bonsu. There is no way he was ever #19 in any credible rankings, he currently has no ranking and there's at least a dozen welterweights that are better than him.

He isn't that good. He was matched pretty tough early on and got beat regularly. Never has a man had so much mileage from beating Jimmy Colas(to give him his full title, European number 4 Jimmy Colas).

be good to see him return Steve but don't think PF is the place for him.

I remember being at York Hall at PF when Choi won when he challenged Kell to his face that was a good night. :bag:

Seen him on TV a few times he looked pretty good & very awkward. I think he lacks commitment though & just keeps coming back when the bills need paying.

It fell through because of the serious knee injury he had

This is not true. He had a serious knee injury and has had three operations on it. He could not box. He does not lack commitment that is total rubbish.

Thank you :TU: he's a very good fighter with a lot of bottle; when you see him tell him that he made a believer of a Doncaster fight fan and I hope he does well.

Yassine Al Maachi is a very good fighter and brings a great personality as well, looking forward to seeing him fight, he had a lot of bad calls against him, early in his career, took fights at short notice against bigger men, good for boxing.
