I fear he's going to struggle against "King" Arthur Williams. I fear he's going to look as bad as Audley did.

I fear even worst things than that. I think he could end up being KO'd.

Even with Williams way past his prime, still looks to be a big step up in class for Haye.

Seen Williams a few times in the past year or so on ESPN, and although he still keeps himself in decent physical shape, he's clearly way over the hill - any decently-skilled cruiser with good handspeed has a shot against him. That having been said, he did give O'Neil Bell all he could handle 18 months ago, so maybe he can reach deep down and pull out a little bit of the old King. But I wouldn;t lay money on it.

Did anyone see his recent fight vs. the Russian Tokarev? That should be a pretty good indicator of the current state of his game.

wasnt that long ago i watched david nearly kayo some cuban, but then the cuban turned it round on david and once his nose was bloodied he accepted defeat very quickly & gave up.

Seriously though, Haye's fights are never boring. This one should be a cracker.

This fight shouldn't be an 8 rounder, its an exciting contest but it being an 8 rounder favours Haye more than Williams.

It says 10 rounds on the Boxrec schedule.

I saw that fight aswell. I think the Cuban's name was Solis, and in all fairness to Haye, he was pretty damn good.

On the face of it a dangerous fight to take so early in his career - could end in disaster. Who's doing Haye's matchmaking these days?

i had a great chat with williams and the team

if haye struggles tomorrow then it will have been a bad period for three of the highest profile and "brightest prospects" in the UK

Audley looking a crock of shit against francis, Froch looking awful against Adamu in his last outing and now it looks like Haye might struggle.

so for that reason alone i hope haye wins in good form. we could do with a bright prospect who actually shines!

thats fine, if he wins, but doesn't look to impressive, that tells him he needs to take a step back and not rush things. It's not like Williams is the same level as opponent as Julius, and thats not even in a p4p sense.

The Cuban was Olandier Fonte Solis, I think he's the current Heavyweight amatuer champ, almost out as well. Would have been if not for that damn standing count.

I think Haye needs to stop being willing to take a punch just to try and land the perfect counter. Thats what got him in trouble against Mock. Froch has the same problem, I think Froch has the far superior chin though so he can get away with it more. I think he needs to work on his defense, the knockouts will come because of his already heavy hands.

Haye wanted a 10 rounder but for some reason it was cut to 8
probably a wise thing to do, i dont think he's been beyond 4.

i was discussing Haye with an american fan at another forum. basically just giving him some info. And i realised that IF everything goes according to plan (i.e. Haye beats Williams and then Thomspon) he could be in the world top 10, after only a dozen or so fights!

how rare is that for a brit? for anyone?

Williams record is misleading, they were saying his most recent fights were home town robberies, i have also seen a few of williams fight and he does get robbed, in reality he should only have a few defeats on the record
