Vince Phillips is one of my favourite fighters of the modern era. Anyone who can stop Kostya Tszyu and Micky Ward back-to-back is a damn good fighter, and he still showed his fighting qualities as a 39-year-old against Ricky Hatton.
Does anyone know what happened in his title-losing fight with Terron Millett? It seems an incomprehensible loss.

dunno, but wasn't his Ward win on cuts?
Love the Tszyu fight. Seeing him getting battered is great. Kostya laughs after the 1st KD, wasn't laughing at the end though! 8)

The Ward win was indeed on cuts and it was pretty competetive until that point as well. Real Deal has a cool Boxing Monthly T-Shirt like me!

Chris do you have one facial expression for each month of the year?
Another top class effort. Williams might look old but he looks serious!

So does Chris in that picture!
What is Phillips doing here? Is he with King Arthur?
Re: His title loss, I remember Boxing Monthly assuming that Phillips had just got old overnight, but then his performance against Mitchell showed that wasn't the case. I just think he underestimated T, who was a damn good fighter in his own right. Its a shame he suffered those back to back defeats when he got old.

Must be, he's wearing a King Arthur t-shirt by the looks of it. Tends to make you think Williams is taking this seriously. Think I'll stick some cash on him........just in case.

Chris, great shot - I like your expression when shaking Woodhalls hand. Its the same as when your clenching your fist. You look as if you want to kill Richie.
