David Haye scaled 14st 3lbs for his eight-rounder with American Arthur Williams, who scaled 14stone 5lbs. This new cruiserweight limit of 14st 4lbs gives Haye a big advantage against a 39-year-old used to campaigning at the old limit of 13st 8lbs.

How long have these weight limits been in place for cruiser?

Williams is over the limit? Is this allowed? If so, how much margin?

The new cruiserweight weight limit of 14st 4lbs (200lbs) has been in since December worldwide (bar the IBF), but the first British cruiserweight title fight at the new weight takes place later this month between Mark Hobson and Lee Swaby at Huddersfield. Swaby believes the weight increase will help him and not the lanky Hobson, who may find his height and reach advantages dissipated by the whopping 10lbs increase between old and new limits.
Arthur Williams, as you see, is over the limit by one pound. It's a non-title eight-rounder so as long as both parties agree to what he weighed, there's no problem.

yes they said there werent any problems, williams would of made the weigh if he weighed in naked

I was also not aware of the weight increase and i must say i think it is a bit much at a full 10lbs, a slight increase fair enough but that is massive. James Gaines V Corey Sanders for the Cruiserweight title anyone?
