I don't see what the big problem is. Frustrating as it is, he couldn't be expected to fight with deep cut / serious shoulder injury.

Nonsense. Firstly, who knows what Fury's status will be if and when Haye returns. Secondly, the sporting public are fickle, have short memories, and can be sold practically anything.

Like Haye alot - and looked forward to the Fury fight

But ... hope he doesn't announce anything at all either way until he's 100% made a decision.

If he gets fight fit - do a tune up fight that's low key - no big announcements just go and fight wherever on an undercard and see where your at against someone half decent - granted he's proved himself etc. etc. at world level and he doesn't fight for free...

Obviously he can keep in shape by running or whatever meanwhile but like a lot of people been a bit upset with
the fury fight on/off etc.

If Fury keeps facing men like Abell and going through old ground again (Chisora), I cant see his position changing much.

if he can't even run , and obviously he can't swim (most do this when they can't run due to low impact), what the hell is going to do keep his fitness up? - stepper machine or exercise bike or spinning?

only other keep his reflexes sharp by seeing if he can do a herol graham training session having his arms tied behind
his bag and try and keep his reflexes sharp by ducking/diving/bobbing/weaving up to scratch if he's even half serious at all about making a comeback later on.

he can work on his jab meanwhile.

Also powerlifters/strongmen have had destroyed rotator cuffs and torn biceps and recovered so we will see..

Good post. There will be a bit of doubt as and when he throws his cap back into the ring with a date and opponent lined up, I think - like the poster above - he'd be better off just getting on with it and not expecting it to be a PPV extravaganza with a 7 digit payday. There is absolutely no doubt he will fight again.

Undercard? If Haye fights again it will be for big money and he'll be the headliner.

Bill Kazmaier is one that comes to mind, as I've seen him many times torn a bicep or quad and keep on competing in the events.

Fair point, but given his injuries, cancellations and retirements, it would be a bit bold of a promoter to book an arena, put him top of the bill, and build the show around him. He'll have been out for years, and the opponent will probably last a round or two.

Depends on the TV deal really, would Eddie want to risk a Sky date sticking Haye top of the bill ? It could pay off handsomely if Haye turned up and did the business in style but there's a few "if's" attached to Haye these days. He is a big attraction but not sure he's necessarily loved by the fans.

I alway think Wlads and his fans milked that win a bit, what did Wlad do that was all that impressive in the fight. He makes out he beat the crap out of Haye.

Wlad does seem to be delighted that he survived Haye without being knocked out, doesn't he? What right had he to be smug after that horrific performance?

This was my thought in part. And I mean, Haye achieved significantly more in his career than Fury has, at least so far, so I'm hard pressed to understand how between the two, Fury somehow emerges as some kind of unavoidable victor based on all this.

I mean christ, the guy just has a tough fight in spots with Joey Abbell. I don't see him as the guy to beat, for anyone. If anyone has plenty to prove, I think it's him.
