the topic on WBU Euro belt and various other organisations made me remember this from earlier today....


from this week's BN interview with Fury.

....he (Fury) recently had to apologize to the WBC for comments made after they overlooked him to challenge for the title Vitali Klitschko recently vacated when they strangely opted to rematch Bermane Stiverne and Chris Arreola even though Stiverne handsomely controlled their first meeting in April last year.
Fury was peeved. He had won a WBC title eliminator and when he was spurned, and then somehow lowered in the ratings, the red mist descended.

strong interjection, he also fucked off the IBF when he spurned Pulev, his options are running low

I think this is where organisations have too much control and power. Every fighter ought to have the right to take 'elective' fights now and then in between matches arranged by organisations. So what that Fury wanted to have a ten million dollar show down with Haye, before going after a title shot? That shouldn't effect anyone's ranking in boxing--- considering Haye is considered (or was considered) by many at the time to be still one of the top five heavyweights in the world. Organisations be damned.

The thing is when Fury fought Johnson Johnson was ranked 30 so how could that be an eliminator ?? Also sure I read a couple of weeks ago the WBC clarified saying they would sponsor the fight as such but there would be no implications for the winner.

Anyway Tyson can become Wlads mandatory if he beats Chisora again. Chisora is no2 in WBO behind Leapai (Wlads April opponent) and Fury is 6 so that will get approved as a final eliminator.
