Boxing shock !!!! off the radar.

For those of us who support professional boxing at the grass roots I can report a shock!! Last night Youssef Al Hamidi from Dewsbury was knocked flat on his back and was almost 'out of it ' when he got to his feet. I've never seen ANYONE catch Youssef clean. Could his opponent Ali Black have something special ?? Al Hamidi is a great survivor circling around the ring and then stopping and charging forward sufficiently often to keep his young opponents for getting too confident. To those who follow this circuit getting knocked down is a real shock.

I'd have been interested to know what Youssef thought of Black.

I've been friends with youseef and in particular Chris his coach ever since Ricky fought him, I went to see how he was after the fight and he thought he could have gave a bit more and got the victory.
Although IMO Ally boxed very well in the fight and the shot that dropped Youseef was very good but the wee man got up and on with it

Al Hamidi is a survivor I think if he got caught he probably thought he could handle the power and go for it.. I have seen him fight a lot of times. If he was to have opened up he would of got KO'd . I'm guessing his judgement was wrong and he got caught.

Probably the most toughest, awkward journeyman on these shores

Also has a W over Crolla :salut:

Just a shame he sometimes didnt show more ambition coz he has some attributes our top boxers would kill for, heart, guile, elusiveness

I have saw him plenty of times. Never looks like he's ever in trouble, moves well and is hard to pin down. He's a nice guy too. I refereed him a few years back against Jordan Mcorry.

I thought Al Hamadi beat Murray once, but he did not get it, he was the away fighter ? Murray went on to big things after.
