I worked in the corner of dan against stalker at the copper box on sat.he done a good journeyman job against a top am star.he stayed very close after we saw Tom was only comfy at range.he was all left hand and Carr stayed away by moving to his left.very sturdy nights work.was not bothered at any point.in fact me and quite a few of the press boys thought he knicked the last round.he lost by 7 points. Where that 10/8 round was, somebody tell me

Yeah i was wondering why the ref gave Stalker a 10-8 round :??

Carr improved the longer the fight went on

What was with the turning away and gesturing ? I thought it was verging on the disrespectful to be honest.

I thought he deserved the last round too and always looked comfortable in there.. Showed some new skills and looked like he was enjoying the job he has been guilty of just surviving at times , has looked motivated in his last 3 and I think he can cause Evangalou problems this weekend!

soon as Tom started trying to hook and take dan out it'd be easy really.winding the fella up was the best way to do it.

What does winding your opponent up achieve when you're losing every round ? Strange you would complain about a 10-8 round in the circumstances.

I disagree, although not the biggest puncher out there he is a very talented boxer and would give most Lt Welters big problems on the domestic scene if not Euro level. Imo he needs stepped up a level where the opponents are actually trying to win and not survive! Then we will see the best of Tom Stalker.

if you took in what I wrote, you'd see that Tom had been doing his best work at range with the straight shots.by winding him up youd be getting him to load up and trying to hook away. That's what!

He did look quite sharp but dan was throwing and landing round the out side from 3rd maybe 4th round. Other than a sharp jab nothing else was coming off the right hand. Big for the weight but still very amateur B-

i thought stalker won all 4 rounds quite easy, will box better when he fights a decent boxer

Haha, look mate. I'm not saying he didnt win, only that he still looked very am. Carr deffo landed more than he maybe should. There was never a 10/8 round in that Alls I'm saying is that Carr at the least drew that last round and he should've been given that on the cards. Tom still can't box on the inside & needs more time before hes tested against seasoned winning pro's. not a convincing show if hes as good as what you think. Hope he is as he seems a good lad

Didn't see where the 10-8 round could come from but 60-54 was bang on to me, Stalker won every round comfortably without ever really troubling Carr.

Another good show from Carr pushed Evangelou all the way tonight at York Hall the kid has heart and is out weekly at the moment where would boxing be without lads like Dan they provide a stern test often at short notice and always away from home
