Eddie really disappointed last time out. If this is going to Wembley or Emirates he really needs to put on another 2 quality match ups. I'd like to see another massive fight on there involving the following: Quigg vs Martinez, perhaps Joshua up against a big domestic name, Mitchell fighting a final eliminator, Ricky Burns having a mandatory, Rees vs Buckland II and any others.......

I would love to see Chris Keane vs Wadi Camacho.

Cleverly vs Bellew would be nice but Warren won't allow it.

Obviously, Anthony Joshua, Kal Yafai and Luke Campbell will have their six rounders on there. Maybe get Brian Rose on there as well as he has not been out for a while. Kevin Mitchell and John Ryder would be good ticket sellers down there if it is the Emirates. Might get Crolla on there following the recovery to the cut he has had in training.

This is all well and good getting these names on there but if none of them are in meaningful fights then it could be a crap undercard again. I think there should be at least 2 additional really hard 5/50 fights for an event like this.

Get Kell Brook on there in a meaningful fight.

The undercard wont be sensational - and why would it be ? If 70k turn up how many do you think will be remotely interested in anything but the main event ?
Why would Eddie put Burns on for instance when he can sell his own headlined bill in Scotland ?

60,000 fans want to be entertained with a decent undercard as well. Hopefully Eddie will step up to the mark this time and give fans who pay for tickets value for money. Frank has done it many times in the past with Magnificent 7 etc....

Frank does put on a better undercard.

it didnt stop golden boy or maywetaher promotions putting on quality fights on the undercard of mayweather/canelo. we had garcia/matthyse and smith/molina for world titles.

I agree with what you say about there should be value for money however the mag 7 show was a good show there wasnt a stand out fight with anywere near the level of interest as Groves Froch II

The Ishe Smith "fight" was one of the worst world title fights I've seen in recent memory.

The UC for Froch/Groves was woeful last time, absolutely terrible. Far too many TBAs and Selected Opposition and there wasn't a single competitive match on it (Crolla/Foster looked so/so on paper but it was obvious Crolla was going to win). It's ok people saying that in hindsight it [the main event] was a great fight, nobody predicted it was going to end (or indeed, finish) up that way.

There's also no guarantee that the rematch will be entertaining or have a 1/10th of the action or drama that the first did, so it needs a reasonable undercard or at least a couple of fights worth watching or shelling out upwards of £150 for?

The undercard speaks volumes about how much (or how little) the promoter cares about the fans.

It's true that this will sell out good undercard or not. If the undercard is pants it's a clear indicator in my opinion that the new "saviour" of british boxing fast eddie doesn't give an eff about the fans.

Already been announced that Brians world title fight is in the states in May.

It certainly should be a decent undercard for the ticket price. For me there should be a couple of (decent quality) 50/50's but I dont think there will be.
The first fights undercard was dreadful & I think if the same fare gets served up then Sky would surely have something to say.
As for the above post on Joshua, Eddie will have invested so heavily in him that we wont see him tested for a while yet.

You've got a main event that you know will draw huge interest, why squander a meaningful fight on the undercard when that could main event or support another card that might need the interest to draw fans?

Not saying its right for the fans but you can certainly see it from the promoters point of view.

I think Eddie owes it to us. he acknowledged that the last under card was shit. So to just say he won't squander money on any other fight would tell me everything I need to know about the man. He needs to put on a complete package for this event. If not there could be a massive uproar. What if Groves falls down and twists his ankle in round 1 and it's all over and we were left with Joshua rolling over Larry Olumbauwamama-dong as the chief support. There would be a riot in my living room that night!

We will likley get a piss poor undercard.

The Americans have it right with Undercards. They have put on some cracking shows of late that put ours to shame. Having said that they do charge more for the PPV but they don`t have the 60,000+ crowds that they are talking about for this fight.

To get a decent seat at the froch v groves fight i will be looking at £200 +, plus with flights and a hotel, it will be an expensive weekend. As much as I would love to be there, I would rather get some mates round and pay £15 for PPV.

It would take a cracking and deep undercard to get me over there spending £500 + and that is not going to happen.

There will be uproar on here. A fraction of a percent who are either attending or buying the fight.

Dream on if everyone thinks there's going to be a stonking undercard.
Sky will demand certain things so you might get British / Commonwealth / International titles but unless Hearn gets a gimme through purse bids or some other way I doubt you'll see another World title on offer.
