What a cracking move my Mickey Helliet to link up with Eurosport, I'm surprised there's not been more of a fuss made about it.

I can't wait to settle down in front of the box with a cuppa tea and a jammy dodger for tomorrow night's action all the way from London. In Germany (and other countries) we're not supposed to be able to receive Sky (although I am told that some still do) so this is about the only legal way to watch British boxing.

It is good to have more boxing shows on tv, the only problem with Eurosport are that their schedules are all over the place, you tune in at say 8pm and they have tennis or something else on, they had a boxing shows listed before, but some did not get shown at the right time, bad news if you want to record it.

I was looking on planner for this & it isnt showing. There is some boxing at around 2 in the morning which just says international bill so not sure if that is it. I know a while ago Steve Goodwin was posting on here saying that he had a live bill on, but that ended up showing in the middle of the night.
If it does appear that will be a win, but otherwise just looks like we will have to keep checking the channel.

Good stuff. Doesnt look the most competitive bill ever but worth a watch.

its on my planner (Virgin Media) looking forward to it as said more boxing on tv the better as far as I'm concerned.

Hellraiser have signed a deal with Eurosport so we should see more these shows on there.

That's a real problem with Eurosport. I've had that problem when I'm watching sports other than boxing. You intend to watch one thing, but 45 minutes after it's listed as being on the previous show hasn't finished.

Commentators can be a bit wank as well. I remember watching a Michael Sprott fight live a few years back on Eurosport. The commentator spent an entire round thanking his friends and family for the Christmas cards they sent him, without mentioning a word about what was happening. I wish I could remember his name, it was so bad it was funny in it's own way.

Steve Holdsworth, he likes to talk all the way through the fight, sometimes about non related things, he once spoke about his army day's lol, I like the Americans, they make the fight exciting.

Remember Harry Carpenter ? Once a fighter knocked another fighter out cold with a hay maker, in the Olympics, I think it was ? Harry's verbal reaction was " Oh Dear " Classic, who will forget Harry forgetting his position, when Bruno rocked Tyson in America, shouting " Go on Frank " or something like that, the great double act.

Is he still doing it? I don't watch much boxing on Eurosport.

I know Richie Woodhall sits in sometimes on Eurosport now. I remember one guy couldn't have made it more obvious that he knew nothing, and sat there the entire broadcast going; "So what's your opinion on this, Richie?", "I'm interested to know your expert opinion, Richie..." I'm not quite sure why he was even there.

Lol, yes I think he is, he used to do small hall shows around the country as well, film and commentate and then sell the videos.

I like watching small hall shows like this. Featuring up and coming fighters in competitive fights. A lot of times you see name fighters fighting journeymen and pretending they're world class. This is proper boxing.
