You're informing us that a specialised boxing channel shows more boxing than general sports channel? Wow, are you to reveal that bears shit in woods next?

There is a point though and I pay SKY sports just for the boxing and I'm being let down by them.

The dedicated boxing channel I spend a tenner a month is showing boxing unbelievable.I`m satisfied with my Sky Sport package which shows many of my favourite sports as well the best domestic boxing content and I`m also content with what I`m getting from Allegedy. This thread is no surprise given the praise the last matchroom show got, someone felt the need showcase what the allagedy channel and in part allegedy is putting on.The international content is good and that's why they get my £10 but I won`t jump for joy every time allegedy channal pick up a fight it`s there job and what I`m paying the channel for.

I love my boxing but I would never have Sky Sports just for the boxing, there is not enough shows or value for money to do so.I would just go to my brothers or the pub for the fights I wanted to see.

People don't give allegedly the credit it deserves.. It's the best Chanel for boxing streets ahead of Sky.. Saying that was impressed by the Sky card at the weekend. Let's see how this weekends one goes easy accumulator I think

Sky through Hearn has the best domestic content imo but with the best international content and a sometimes okay domestic content Allegedy channel are better for sure but I`m a fan of many sports so i`m content and happy with my Sky packages as well

Sky really pisses me off the way you basically have to subsidise all the stuff you don't want to watch. I've got no real interest in any sports outside boxing & football, and basically only watch the HBO dramas on Sky Atlantic, yet I have to pay 100 odd quid a month for the privilege.

Should be able to pay for each channel individually, but we all know Sky will never allow this due to the massive loss of revenue which would occur, they know most people only ever watch a few channels regularly.

Having a dedicated boxing channel is absolute class for British fans & we should appreciate it more than we do, for all its faults, allegedly has delivered quality & value for money pretty much every single month since launch, its easy to forget how few international cards Sky have screened over the past 6 or 7 years since its boxing budget got slashed.

Very good point and well made; sometimes a forum for enthusiasts becomes a moaning place where nothing is ever good enough and whatever is there is crap.

A dedicated boxing channel is showing more boxing content than a general sport channel. Disgusting. God knows I don't subscribe to sky for the boxing, you would have to be crazy to do that.

They even advertise the full sky world package now for around £70...I got em down to £55 for the full package...sport/movies/hd/internet the lot...at that price I don't feel quite so physically ill about subsidising filth like Joey Barton

I have both SKY Sports and B0xnati0n. SKY Sports have the best domestic action whilst B0xnati0n deliver big time in terms of international action.

As long as there is a strong B0xnati0n, and SKY Sports continue their interest in the sport, it's great news for us fans. I think the competition between the 2 is healthy, and has made both raise their game. B0xnati0n gives fighters and promoters who don't want to work with Eddie Hearn or SKY a viable alternative.

What I'm interested in seeing is how Matchroom grow over the next 3 or 4 years. They are doing great just now using mainly talent they've signed from other promoters however some of them probably don't have many fights left. Their main marque future stars like Luke Campbell and Anthony Joshua where already known before turning pro due to the Olympics, chat shows, newspaper articles etc... How well will they do when they've actually got to rely on their own grown talent? Can Eddie Hearn make a star from scratch without any prior major exposure? I'll give them credit for the work done with Callum Smith however he already had somewhat of a profile due to winning silver at the Commonwealth games and being affiliated with his brothers. Surely they can't rely on signing rival talent, built up by other promoters forever?

Similar to my deal. I signed up last January with 50% off through friends and family. Before going up to full price I cancelled my subscription about 7 weeks ago. They sent me a mailshot offering 50% off to come back. I called them up and priced various packages. The guy on the other end of the phone was getting a little tired of my questions and offered free broadband unlimited for a year if I signed up. I have the full package, SKY Sports / SKY Movies / HD / telephone / internet and a second box in my bedroom for £55.40 per month.

This seems to be a well known offer. You've got to cancel, hold your nerve, and within 3 weeks you'll get an e-mail / call / mailshot offering half price to come back.

Cancelled Sky Sports this month. Boxing is the only sport I watch, and to pay an extra 23 quid for two nights of boxing a month seems too steep when allegedly show at least three shows for £10.

Looks a lot better now it's in HD, and although the presentation is less slick than Sky, there's less cliches being thrown around by the presenters - and it feels a whole lot more grounded in comparison.
