Hearns could box and punch. It's only a matter of time, whether it takes a while, or if Williams gets taken out early, but I see Hearns winning either way.
Williams was tough and brought a lot of pressure and volume, but it's a bad style for him against a guy like Hearns.

Don't see the Punisher doing too many things better than Hearns.
Certainly a higher volume puncher, but Hearns' power would more than make up for that.
Its gotta be the Hit Man by KO over a tough Williams. Somewhere around the 6th round.

Hearns wins all day long.
Wouldn't really give Paul much chance in this to be honest.

Tommy's reach, speed and power would just decimate Paul. It could be over real quick. Tommy could blow away practically anyone and at Welter & Super Welter, well, we all know what he could do.
Paul was gritty and had plenty of heart but it's going to be lights out.

Agreed with the end result, but Tommy's reach certainly wouldn't be a factor in this fight.

Hearns would be most people's pick but it could be an entertaining fight. Two rangy guys who can both hit.

Williams tended to give up his reach, he fought like a much shorter guy. And while I think he hit hard enough to get some respect when needed, I wouldn't exactly say: "guys who can both hit" which might imply that his power was anywhere near Hearns' league, it wasn't.

I think Williams would survive and maybe win some of the early rounds by getting inside on Hearns and throwing a lot of leather, not giving Hearns the room he'd like to get the most snap on his right hand.
But Hearns would steadily be moving and trying to work from the outside, and I feel it would only be a matter of time before he finally got the perfect range and found the sweet spot on Williams' chin.
Williams would make a fight of it in the early going, but a mid rounds KO for Hearns is the way I see it going.
