Sad story, former great, world champion Pernel Whitaker has took his own mother to court to evict her from the house he bought her, when he was a millionaire and world champion, he has had problems with drug addiction and lost his fortune, I guess the only thing he had left was the equity in the house he bought for his mother, shameful.

That's incredibly sad but I guess she's had maybe two decades living rent free which isn't to be sniffed at. I guess he must have a sound legal basis on which to do this, on the other hand I bet his mum thinks "you daft xxxx" for blowing the money. One thing retired boxers find out the hard way, when money is spent, it's gone for good.

Wow...buying your Mom a house, and then taking her to court to take it away from her....that's pretty f*cked up.

It is, but at the risk of sounding a bastard, when you consider how many women take houses off blokes, I won't shed a tear for her, she's had 20 years rent free. And no, I've not had a nasty split and lost a house over it !! A substantial proportion of property transactions remove a property from a bloke and pass the ownership onto a woman. Pernell is bucking the trend

It's different when it's an ex-wife or some sh*t like that as opposed to your Mother though.

Some of those mothers are pretty bad (not mine); I've read some stories where the mother is like a leech.

TBH its his private business. We don't know the relationship between the 2 of them. They might not have spoke for 20 years...... She may be a crack'ead in her own right. Who are we to judge?

Your mother is your mother, no matter what, she went through nine months of labour for you, breast fed you and wiped your ass, when you soiled your nappy, who else does all that, a mother deserves everything, Whittaker's mum can't be all that bad, his sister has took her in, to look after her, at least someone cares for her.

what if she didn't do any of that tho? What if your mums a ghetto crack addict that's left you to fend for yourself? What if she sexually abused him? What if she totally doted on the sister only to shun Pernell. All Im saying is that its not always black and white. U don't know their history at all. Basically if you aren't an immediate member of the family then its not really your place to say. She could have been like the mums of these young celeb kids that control and manipulate their spawn for their own gain, you just don't know. Saying "she cant be all that bad" when you've never met her, prob never even seen a picture or heard her speak isn't exactly a sensible way to form an opinion. Jimmy Saville was lauded for his charity work after all, lots of people said he "cant be all that bad". Walk in another man shoes before judging him.

Another thing to consider is what if he has young children (or grandchildren) that he has to provide for. What if they are starving or living in a slum with no heating/water and for whatever reason no1 is there to take them in? Does he not have a duty to them? Life isn't as simple as "Oh pernells being a kunt for no reason...." When you haven't even heard his side just formed an immediate opinion.

Also, plenty of boxers have fukked up relationships with their parents, they throw them a bone when the moneys pouring in only for the folks to disappear when times get tough. If you've read mike tysons autobiography his mum was a total nightmare. His dad re-emerged for a hand out only to vanish again. Even ricky hatton has issues with his lot.

yes I do, the what is, is that he is evicting his own mother, he has blew all his money, he has had drug problem,he has not made any arrangements for his mother, when removed, in fact his own sister is now wiling to take her in, he says he wants her out for the money from the sale because she has not paid the house rates, his family say this is a lie, that he wants money because he is broke and still on drugs, the what could be is, he must have reason, he can't be that evil.

most of it is fake, like Jerry springer, they find the right people to make fools of themselves and pay them, it makes good tv, people like to watch screwed up families, it makes them feel better about their own, look at benefits street, it's becoming one big joke, a lot of people actually work on that street, it is all set up for tv, I mean who goes shoplifting on camera.

Nah he admitted to Jezza that he,d done the dirty in his car but it just so happens that my GF,s wee sister bought his car off him a couple months or so before the programme aired and she said she had to scrub the car after she got it as the back seats had stains on it

My old next door neighbour, her boyfriend and mother were on JK' they didn't give a monkeys - all their life stories and terrible mistakes in front of everyone - Kyle played them like a harp, arguing, shouting and crying - they were no better off after.
