Commonwealth Games 2014

With the Commonwealth games in Glasgow later this year it would be interesting to hear about boxers you think will star at the Commonwealth Games and maybe turn professional and achieve great things. I'll start with some of the Scottish lads I think will have a chance of doing well
Josh Taylor 64kg: Josh won the silver Commonwealth games in Dehli 2010 and represented GB at London 2012 , also boxed in the WSB. I really think Josh can go one better this and get the Gold, he has moved up to 64kg and with his size I think he will be able to concentrate on the boxing and not just worrying about his weight.
Not sure if he would turn Professional until after the next Olympics though because he might fancy a shot at getting a gold medal.
Joe Ham 56kg: Joe has lots of International experience as a junior and senior and ha experienced the Commonwealths in Dehli, Joe has grown and matured lots over the last 4 years and would be in with a great chance of winning a medal.
I think Joe will defo turn professional after the Commonwealths and think he would be a very good addition to the Bantamweght - Super Bantamweight division and see no reason he couldn't reach domestic and even european title level.
Aston Brown 75kg: Aston like Josh has moved up in weight from 69 kg to 75 kg , he won the 75 kg Scottish title last year and looked very strong doing so, he also has experience from Dehli 2010 and also at the WSB. Aston always had teh skills but now he has moved up he is really starting to hurt the opposition when they make a mistake. He has a real chance of a gold at the Commonwealths
I think Aston will turn professional and might fancy doing light middleweight for day before weigh ins and I could see him reaching euro level.
Charlie Flynn 60kg: Charlie has really polished his style since hooking up with Peter Harrison, he has won the GB's at senior level and has lots of experience at international level. He doesn't look fancy but he boxes very effectively and keeps his shape well. He could defo medal at the Commonwealth games
I think Charlie's style would be well suited to the professional scene and can defo see him turning over at super feather and reaching European level
Conner Law 69kg: Conner has always been a master counter puncher but since hooking up with Stevie McGuire in Glenrothes he has also found a bit more spite in his punches and is a more complete boxer. He could defo pick up a medal.
I could see Stevie McGuire wanting to turn him professional and think he could do well and reach a minimum of domestic level and pushing for European level.
I know that the team hasn't been picked yet but I think these are the ones who will come out on top at the Scottish championships and be the frontrunners at these weights for the Commonwealth games.
I would like to hear what others on the forum from England, Wales and Northern Ireland who's boxers are the ones to watch and how they will fair at the Commonwealth Games. Also from Scottish posters who might have different ideas of who will go at these weights and how they might do turning pro.
