What are the food options like at Wembley - is there not meant to be good curry houses around there?

I have also heard that the jumbo hot dogs are good inside the stadium, if somewhat overpriced.

Also, do you reckon that you will be able to take drinks to your seats? Hope the bar queues are not too bad.

Also, one final point is that it still being May, I imagine that the temperatures will drop once the sun goes down. I assume that it would be wise to take a jumper / light jacket. What are everyone's plans?

Haha, great thread. These things are important and I can understand your concern!

There is a McDonalds just outside the stadium. All the burger vans outside are good quality but you have to take out a mortgage to buy anything. Absoloute rip off!

Get yourself to McDonalds before hand and load yourself up.

It will be expensive, but that's expected, as are bar queues.

What ever you do, don't leave it till you get into the ground to grab a bite to eat. Been to Wembley a fair few times and only made this mistake once but it set me back £8 for an average chicken and chips never again! Burger vans on the way to the ground are nice but still dear, but there are a few cheaper places and usual chain places on the high street.

Go around the corner to do something more interesting before hand. This temple is nearby and the shop opposite sells great indian food

I'm going to take sandwhiches!! Dairylea cheese spread with the crusts cut off! I will take the crust with me so I can throw them into the crowd & then when it's safe I'll begin to eat & wash it down with a panda pop cherryade & a orange club biscuit!! I won't be standing after that sugar rush!!! Not sure on what crisps?? I was thinking tangy toms so when I throw I can shout on the head

Unbelievable choice! As if the Dairylea, panda pop cherryade (best flavour ever!!) and club bar weren't enough, you go and better yourself with the tangy toms!

I once stretched a wham bar 4 inches from a bite funnily enough it was at a boxing show, I held it out for people to view as I knew it was impressive obviously haterz don't want to praise me & then stabbed myself in the eye with it & caught a fizz bomb for my trouble!! Luckily I carry my eye bath me nan gave me but only had my panda pop cola this time but thinking on my ass I produced enough saliva ( bear grylls eat your heart out) & scored the next round the one I didn't view & made it even!

Thanks for the input - I hadn't even thought of taking food in with me . I could get a cool box amongst the lads and we could have an array of snacks. I did something similar at the Olympics and stopped off on route at M&S (you can't go wrong with them).

Food for thought - excuse the pun.

P.S. Bit gutted this isn't in Manchester as I often enjoy having a drunken chinese post-punch up after a late night cultural excursion to Long Legs...

D You can't be a real Scot if you're spending your time in LL? You struggle to get away with not getting your wallet out in there.

There's plenty of places to go in London!!! It's easy to get about to loads of places via the tube.
There's time out magazine & others which quote all the best foodie joints.
You eating before or after???brick lane in East London is a must if you like curry etc

Brick Lane is for tourists and drunk office workers. My theory is that there is a large basement kitchen running the length of the street and that whatever restaurant you go in you get the same food. The only bonus is they are so desperate for custom you can get a free pint if you go in!

If you like curry head to Tayeab's or Lahore Kebab house near Commercial Street. Both are the business and BYO. The mixed grill is worth doing time for....

Brick Lane is bollocks for good Indian food; trust me I'm Indian.

If you don't mind vegetarian food; get yourself down to "Sakonis" in Wembley and get yourself some chilli paneer and a masala dosa.

That's a good point, I was thinking of wearing a jumper but the ones I have arent really 'going out jumpers' more just casual around the house jumpers. So I am not too sure what to do there. I guess I will just wear jeans, I dont know.

That's a good point, I was thinking of wearing a jumper but the ones I have arent really 'going out jumpers' more just casual around the house jumpers. So I am not too sure what to do there. I guess I will just wear jeans, I dont know.

Skinny jeans and a sick jumper/ long sleeve polo coz I'm young and hip. ;;-)

I have a friend who goes to Lords for the cricket and he NEVER goes without an array of scotch eggs and sausage rolls - with sachets of colmans english mustard.

Re: clothes it will be trainers, probably leather as there will be beer spilt. Boot-cut / straight cut (but not skinny) jeans, a polo and maybe a hoodie / light military style jacket. Nothing too flash but basically comfortable.

Now my next question is will we be allowed to smoke in the bogs - it has seemed compulsory at recent arena shows I've been at!
