What I've seen of David Haye so far has exited me and I look forward to viewing his demolition of the once feared King Arthur Williams.

The question I have is whether he's wasting his time staying at Cruiserweight?

With the Heavyweight division being poor at the moment, I feel he'd make a real impact in the division with his Speed and Power but most of all his personality is so refreshing in that he wants to take on the best in the world.

For the King Arthur fight, he was 199lbs(14st 4lbs) and at 6ft 3inches could easily add another stone in weight without losing any of his speed.

With the exception of Lewis, Bowe and now Klitschko, boxing has been dominated by small Heavyweights over the last 15 years who weigh less than 224(16stone).

These include :

Mike Tyson
Evander Holyfield
Micheal Moorer
RJJ
Chris Byrd
James Toney
Juan Carlos Gomez

So I say to Haye, move to the Heavyweight Division as quickly as possible because it needs a Boxer like You!

So what do u Brits think of your countrymen's chances would be in the Heavyweight Division?

Notwithstanding his good performance against Williams, on the basis of him going to the brink of being KO'd by Mock, no I wouldnt fancy Haye as a Heavyweight.

Way to early to say, let him try and get a title at Cruiserweight before making the shift. As Roy Jones has shown, its has hard to move down the weights as it is to move up.

Haye is 21, just let him mature physically before asking him to take the step.

Would he beat Harrison now, my answer would be no - he is far too small. I'm sure he will mature into a nice 15 and half stone and will be ready for the heavies by then.

To hell with the heavyweights, that divisions awful. He stays at cruiser for a while he can fight Braithwaite, Bell, Mormeck, Davis and even Nelson. Many great fights to be made.

I agree with some of the above 2 comments but I still think Haye is too good at the Cruiserweight division and hopefully he'll move to the Heavyweight Division by the end of 2005 as long he win's a World Title at Cruiserweight.

David Haye is being lined up for a world title challenge at the start of next year, according to his promoter.
Robert Waterman told BBC Sport the cruiserweight will challenge for the WBC, WBA, IBF or WBO titles.

"David has got exceptional talent and the plan is for him to have a world title fight by the start of next year," said Waterman.

Haye stopped American Arthur Williams in three rounds in Reading on Wednesday and is unbeaten in 10 fights.

Waterman said beaten opponent Williams, a former world champion, was impressed by Haye's dominance.

"He (Williams) told me he has never fought anyone like David Haye and that he can't see anyone out there who will beat him."

That result will send reverberations around the boxing world

Also on Haye's horizon is a domestic match-up with Sheffield veteran Carl Thompson, who holds the less prestigious IBO title.

"We would like Thompson - but he has been suspended for six months.

"That fight might take place in the next few months, but I'm not sure the IBO title is the route for David."

The promoter admitted Haye's performance may create a problem for him in the future.

"That result will send reverberations around the boxing world and will make matches for David difficult and expensive.

"He has established his credentials very well and I think the fact that he is equally eloquent and good looking out of the ring means he can be a huge superstar.

"But what we have to do now is be careful. Now we've made the move to world class, we also need David to have a longer fight."

Haye has stopped all 10 of his opponents and has not gone past the fourth round.

I'm sorry Nasty but i don't think he is too good for the Cruiserweight division, a win over Arthur Williams was solid but has as yet proved little about his future. With Bell, Mormeck, Jirov, Braithwaite, Macarinelli, Nelson etc around there are plenty of fights out there for Haye and he has by no means showed me he is the best at Cruiserweight yet. Plus the knockdown by Mock worries me his chin might not past the test at Heavyweight, nope he should stay where he is for the time being for certain.

I think he could make an impact up at heavy, and i'm of the opinion that he'll eventually move up there. But it won't be for a while yet. He's got alot to do at cruiser before he thinks of moving up.
