Declan Timlin!

I'm really glad this 10 year a pro boxer has finally got his deserved title shot. After 10 years on the road fighting numerous fringe contenders his hard work has finally paid off. We could have a UK heavyweight champion on the 19th April.

I think his fight with Peter Szabo was a real crowd pleaser and really put him in contention but he really needed a warm up fight and took on the durable Mircea Telecan just to prove his critics wrong. However the knockout train came to a sudden stop when he had a lapse of concentration against the mighty Ian Lewison who had a 50% KO ratio but that did not stop the Irish power house double fister and soon dispatched the feared Rolandas 'Ill Fly Through Ya' Cesna who previously gave Steve Collins Jr his toughest work out, to secure his world title shot.

Talk was the fight against Adnan Buharalija who once fought for the Global Boxing Union inter-continental Title and the Vacant IBF Mediterranean Title was going to be at Bally's in Vegas but ticket sales have gone through the roof so now will take the fight in a Lighthouse, in Poole, Dorset.

Both men have undeniably earned their shots. KO defeats to the worst British champ I've ever seen, and a bloke who too 4 years to get to the Southern Area title should be enough to put Timlin in with Wlad, but he's gone one better. The big Hungarian has won more than half his fights, and often makes it to the 3rd round without being stopped. It's going to be a thriller.
