A suspicious Bruce Seldom moment in the first, when Wilder knocked Scott clean out with a right hand to the forearms

It seemed as though Scott just didn't want to be there; he didn't throw a punch and Wilder threw about 4 jabs, a left hook and a right hand; it didn't look to have knocked Malik out- he looked clear eyed when on the floor; either his nerves got the better of him, Wilder is a tremendous puncher or Scott took the first opportunity to get out of the bout.

Yeah he did look like a rabbit in headlights... I can't stand it when boxers don't leave it all in the ring (or at least try to)

Whilst it looks good on paper (KO1) it looks like Wilder still can't pass a genuine test and the story about GBP being investigated for fight fixing, whilst almost certainly BS, is certainly heading towards a believable story...

Scott has no heart at all. wilder was matched really well here people will take this as a great win ingoring the fact Scott hasn't beaten anybody and already lost to Chisora.

Wilder is the most dangerous heavy out there

Yeah I agree, but I was impressed how Wilder was pacing himself and reading Scott before punching. I still think he doesn't get enough credit for his boxing ability.

Scott is either an outstanding graduate of RADA or something hard and fast hit him.....the guy is properly down and stunned.

I am ever so slowly coming round to the idea that Wilder might be something other than a hype job, but I still want him to face a no-nonsense brawler who does not get the jitters and wants to take his head-off like Adamek, Chisora, Aerrola or even Tyson Fury.

That's the test I want to see Denotay pass; what happens when he whacks someone and they don't blink and they slug him straight back and with a bit of interest.

With the division being so wafer-thin maybe Wilder does not need to bother clearing these particular hurdles/tests and goes straight through to fighting Wlad. That's a real possiblity....but I think that Scott was not the acid test Denotay still needs.

I'm a big Bunce fan, I wish he wouldn't react like that. Clearly, sections of the online community have rattled him so badly he can't help himself on occasions like that. I realise he works unscripted and shoots from the hip, but nobody was having a go at him and he was reacting like people were blaming him !

Exactly, he was on the defensive straight away almost anticipating what everyone was thinking and wanting to alter their perceptions. I saw it with my own eyes and it wasn't a BOOMING shot by any stretch of the imagination.

It was more of a slapping left hook, the type fighters throw to set up bigger punches, in this case Wilder's trademark right hand.

It looked questionable to me, but maybe Wilder just punches that hard.

I dont think Scott takes a punch that well either to be honest.

It hardly even moved Scott's head.

Wilder looks so stiff and inept. Throw him into the 80s/90s and he's a Lionel Washington or Jerry Jones grade fighter, if that.

Does anyone think Price must have took a dive against Thompson then as the punch Scott took looked of similar leverage :P

Slap bang on the temple and he didn't even see it coming. i've had it happen to me with a headguard on in sparring once and didn't go down but I couldn't feel my legs for about five seconds it was the strangest sensation. You could see he was trying to get up but he was just separated from his senses. Great shot.

That looks like the side of the head to me.

As for the Price comparison, I thought Thompson put more of his body into the shot, it landed behind the ear in a more vulnerable spot, and Price's head was jarred noticeably more than Scott's was.

Whatever, it did the trick. Scott wasn't faking it. He didn't even see it coming. Cliche but they they really are the ones that hurt the most.
