There is a strong chance.chisora would actually beat wilder and he knows it. He only fought scott because he had already been exposed.

so Wilder could easily win and move on to fight for the world title. same goes for Alex Leapai he was picked so Boytsov could get a world title shot just turns out Boytsov is worse than imagined.

The way I see it is that there is only 1 title at each weight and you have to earn the right to fight for the UFC, there is titles underneath UFC but imo it is regarded that if you are the UFC world champion you are the best in the world at that weight!!

I'm sure in an ideal world boxing could do the same but I doubt it will ever happen!!

On the flip side you have Tomasz Adameck who has just had his 3rd IBF eliminator fight and even if he was successful would not have been mandatory. He's won two eliminators post Klitchsko and still wasn't ranked 2 in the organisation.

If people really wanted boxing to follow the UFC model, they'd donate all their money to Flash Eddie so he could buy out the entire roster of the sport's stars & start again as defacto ruler, which is (massively simplified, of course) basically the UFC model.

Also massively overlooked in the early days of the UFC is the involvement of right-wing wing-nut/"certainly fascistic but not entirely a fascist"/gay pr0n film-maker John Milius, which I've always thought hilarious.

We should get someone like that in, revitalise the sport, like.

Because Wilder wants no part of Chisora.

If anyone thinks boxing has gone poo and it should follow ufc then stop watching boxing and start watching ufc,ufc is a brand of mma with the elite fighters in mma,bit like nfl or wwe,if boxing was to follow this then it would have to b a brand like golden boy,top rank or matchroom and these promotional companies would have to have all the top boxers under ther banner. In a way its better to have options. Ufc have a rule that u lose 3 fights in a row ur done,then what does the fighter do? Have to go to a company like bamma and fight guys who your leagues above. Scott got the fight for a title eliminator because 1) he is a name in america bigger than chisora 2) i think he is under golden boy so the fight with wilder was easier to make, plus i think the title eliminator was more for wilder. Same with the wbc vacant title arreola has already been beat in an eliminator with stiverne but now ther fightin for the vacant title? Money talks.

UFC is better for the fans than the current boxing model but if you're a fighter then yeah probably not so much.
