Tyson Fury to do 12 round fight behind closed doors

Didn't Povetkin do something like this under Atlas?

The Takam-Perez fight was very boring, but Takam looked fairly robust. Is Tyson not allowed to fight on a bill between now and Chisora contractually? Because it looks like they don't have much faith in him otherwise to be honest, because Fury should beat this lad easily on paper.

It's basically an open spar with a paid sparring partner.

Well, they say 'small gloves' and they're treating it as a 'fight' rather than a spar. I'm sure they'll be trying to knock each other out. No judges, no decision. I wonder who will referee. There won't be any 'British stoppages'. One of them may have to give best.

So having a hard spar is now fit to hit the headlines? It's laughable.

You beat me to it... was gonna say something along the lines of '12 rnds behind close doors... so sparring then'

Hatton used to do 15 rnds sparring... was that a fight behind close doors? Surely you want sparring to be as close to a fight situation as possible. I would image that seeing as Fury is going in to a 12 rnd fight... 12 rnd spars are elementary

A behind doors fight has a referee and ringside judges, no headguard and fight gloves. Many fighters have had them after a layoff. A spar is to develop and practice technique - a fight to put them into practice.

If it is with regular gloves and no headguards I am fairly certain Takem will KO Fury.

He said in the press conference to put it on tv as Chisora had a dig.
