That was in May, and he's not fought since.

What was the point in making an announcement, if he's not going to fight?

Maybe he would and that would be a very good win for Harrison.

He'd be right back in contention for the British title if he could beat McDermott.

The dream is still alive. YES HE CAN.

Big Mac first then a first round demolition job on Tony Joshua.

I assumed Audley will only fight for big bucks and as there have been no offers he's not fighting. As for McDermott he is ridiculously inactive he should be made to defend the English title or get it taken off him.

Surely he has to earn another good payday by picking up a decent win or two first.

Why would anyone want to offer him big money when he isn't a good risk/reward opponent for most top level contenders or prospects? He needs to get some credibility back.

He will never fight joshua, although it would be a step up, Anthony gets no credit even if he wins in 30 seconds !!

Na I agree that it wouldnt really be worthwhile for Joshua that fight.

Following him on twitter it sounds like he's turned down a fair few opportunities because he thinks he's above them, which in fairness he probably is (we've seen that from the ease he wins the prizefighter tourneys) we all know he can fight at that level. However I have a feeling he is setting his sights too high instead.

He should be looking to fight someone without big punch power but with a respected record ie Tony Thompson, Charr, Malik Scott would have been tailor made for him, maybe pianeta, Kevin Johnson, Helenius could even be an option that he should consider.

I think he said on twitter he turned down Christian Hammer or the offer was just rumored or something.

A Force would be all wrong for Joshua. Big A can box a bit and despite all of his failures, he has some power in that straight left.

Joshua stands straight and he might (albeit a big might) get caught early doors.

If they fought would it be the first time two Heavyweight gold medalists fought as Pros?

Pretty idiotic if that's the case. With the age he's at and also the limited opportunities he's gonna get because of past performances, he needs to snap these opportunities up when they come along as they're likely to lead to something else if he wins. Beggars cant be choosers and all that.

I agree. I think the issue is he's still chasing a world title and wants a top 10 opponent. He should be looking at fringe world level and european level fighters that arent heavy handed, maybe even British level like mcdermott, sprott and skelton but i dont think he's interested.

Pulev, arreola, stivern, all blow him away and as we've seen he cant take a punch off the big punchers like wilder and price. Also realistically what fights can he actually get at the moment with his current reputation.

You have to love his mentality though even if it's misguided. I think he's a good example in terms of perserverence.

Thats the reason his heart is found wanting all the time, his heart is probably similar to a lot of boxers but he isnt afraid to go in with murderous punchers, other fighters will just outright avoid them

I,ve never known a fighter to be written off as much as Harrison,as frustrating as he is to watch,i quite like him and admire his perseverance,i hate it when the crowd boo him for getting KO'd in a round, thats out of order IMO,half the people booing have probably never seen him before and just know he,s an Olympic Gold medalist who was a shite pro

He fought for a world title, was European champ, still decent but he did underachieve

Audley never won British or Commonwealth,no?
