What's your thoughts on McCall not getting fights with bowe, Tyson, ruddock, Morrison, golota, tua, Byrd, Ike, kiltschko brothers, adamek, arreola, evander, valuev, grant and wilder. It seems to be the cast iron chinned, erratic, big punching McCall has been avoided by most of the top fighters of the last 25 years, I remember reading a interview with Oliver and he said he could embarrass so many top fighters who have avoided him and time and time again knocked fights against him back

He spent the majority of his career under Don King which very sadly meant that he was limited to competing in the Don King division of heavyweights.
He was considered for a Riddick Bowe championship opponent in 1993 but that didn't come off, he would have fought Mike Tyson in 96 but partied his way to that title loss to Bruno in 95, the Tua camp expressed interest in fighting him in 2000 prior to the Lewis fight but again that didn't come off. When he crushed Akinwande he was right back in the mix, ranked about 4 in the world as I recall, and so naturally he messed up his momentum and got himself back in a prison cell not long afterwards. Would have been nice to see King push him into something big, he would have made a much better WBA challenger for the horrific John Ruiz than many of his opponents.

It was his inconsistency in the late 80's and early 90's where he lost to Douglas and a couple other guys. Then he beat Lewis and Holmes, lost to Bruno and soon after had the epic meltdown that would make any network or promoter beyond hesitant to use him. He did it to himself.
