Anyone else think Lewison upsets chambers

I think this has upset written all over it, the world class amateur Lewison has yet to truly show them skills that helped him beat the elite amateurs, I think he is catching chambers at the right time and he can cause a big upset

Can't see the upset happening to be honest. How many rounds is this scheduled for? 8 or 10 I'm assuming. Lewison has only been past 4 rounds once. Unless he takes Chambers out early, which is something that Povetkin, Adamek, Dimitrenko and Wladimir couldn't do - then Chambers outclasses him in my opinion.

Lewison was a world class amateur? Based on what?

Based in the fact he beat one of the best heavyweight amateurs of all time solis, who was ranked number one in the world at the time

It's based on hearsay from what I can gather. Lewison claims to have beaten Solis but I've never seen any actual proof or heard from anyone who witnessed this alleged fight. If it did happen then I would also like to find out more details.

It may have been an exhibition because it does not appear on Solis' amateur record (well the version I've seen anyway). If it did happen as a competitive fight then I would love to see any record of it (even if it's merely an article on the fight in question). I'm not doubting it but I'm not accepting it either purely based on hearsay.

Well I'm doubting it. Was it not televised? Did Boxing News not know? Dean Pithie, Jim Twite etc dined out on beating big stars, backed up by hard facts. I'd never even heard of this one!

I can't blame you for doubting it, due to the lack of evidence. Let's see if any one can shed some light on this.

I think Lewison or his team also claimed a win over Helenius, again with no mention of details. People questioned Goodwin about it in a past thread and there was no response.

I no longer manage Lewison but have been told he has pulled out citing an injury.
He did beat Solis (I saw footage) and he says he beat Helenius. He was ranked world number 4 Amateur at one stage after the Solis win butTBH not my concern any more.

A shame if Lewison has pulled out of this fight. He hasn't been seen 'live' on TV since the Prizefighter event last Feb, over a year ago. He's 32 all ready with only 11 fights. The chances to fight a decent world name like Chambers may not come around again, especially if he's out for a few months with another injury.
Don't get me wrong, I don't see him setting the world scene alight but at domestic level, he's surely a top 10 guy, with some decent match ups to be made.
