I fancy Buckland to beat Rees again in a similar fight shame really as i like Rees!

I'ma neutral for Rees/Buckland but as long as the rematch lives up to the last fight, I'll be pleased. Doubt it though, that was a war.

It was more an assumption on my part I suppose mate, why would Fwank let Clev box on a Matchroom card? Business wise, does that make much sense? Then again, Tyson is on BN and he's still with Hennessey I suppose. It will come out shortly I would have thought

The South Wales Argus says Cleverley will be signing for Matchroom.

It's not unexpected. There's been rumours for ages he was letting his contract run out. I expect Frank will say the usual that Cleverley is contracted to him etc,etc - legal proceedings will start etc,etc. The usual really.

Clev has said he has signed with Matchroom, as stated above.

We've all been speaking about Cleverly joining Eddie. Tbh I can't say I'm surprised I guess he will headline the big shows in Cardiff.

It does make you wonder though didn't cleverly pull out of three fights recently under Fwank? If he has done that purposely to see out his contract it's clever but very sly. I don't think Cleverly is that type though.

I guess we will see a statement from Allegedly anytime soon.........

I have a theory, based on absolutely nothing so I am probably completely wrong.

With the Cleverly fights, and others that spring to mind that never came off, I have a theory that when behind-the-scenes relations may not be all they could be, the promoter decides to cut to the chase by announcing, publicly, that the fighter is on the bill, before it has been actually agreed. This would put pressure on the fighter to go along with it, particularly if he's been moaning - after all, having a fight coming up is paramount.

As a promoter, you wouldn't do it out of dumbness, there would have to be a reason. Looking at it from the other perspective, maybe the fights are indeed signed and sealed, and the promoter just has really bad luck with fighters getting injured etc.

So basically what I am saying is, my theory is that the promoter announced those fights and the fighter hadn't agreed to start with.

With it being in Cardiff surely you should be asking for Craig Evans or Romeo Romaeo.. As long as it doesn't clash with Troy getting beat by Ronnie Clark then it's all ok :)

No.3, Maxi Hughes trains in Wales and can be put on the bill due to his managers relationship with the promoter, and he still needs a opponent has your man who managed a draw with him has refused a rematch fight with him twice, remember ? ;;-)


And finally but no means least, the Ronnie Clark fight is not gonna be before this show because Ronnie Clark is still waiting patiently like a good little boy for Tommy to pull his finger out and put this supposedly huge bid (with backing of huge sponsor) in to the board for us dum English folk who think we need a passport to come to Scotland to come up and get beat up by your man but plz be patient, your mans time will come my friend

I really like Gavin Rees, he's game as they come and makes me chuckle with some of the one liners he comes out with.

He's starting to miss a step though when the bell rings, his stamina goes up and down now - whereas a few years ago he was like a little buzz saw.

Fair play if Troy steps in with Rees or buck land but can't see any of them pulling out, as for maxi Hughes if you want it contact Dave cold well, maxi won't duck him that's for sure, WBC silver title, u planning a different route now for Troy?

I've spoke to Dave early mate, the fight with Troy & maxi may happen down the line but not yet, Dave's got other ideas for Maxi.

Yh Troy has done 100's of rounds with Buckland and the spars are no different to the fight you all watched Gary have Vs Rees the 1st time, and Tony Borg, Craig Evans, Lee Selby, Frankie Borg or anyone else will tell you that same thing who have witnessed it, especially Tony Borg, they gel together really well and both myself and Tony Borg believe it possibly would make for a contender for a fight of the year, it's one of few spars you would pay to watch.

Troy has also sparred Rees and he is a mirror image of a young, fresh Rees, that's why Buckland has him for sparring last time and why crolla has used him when he beat Rees also, no one has seen the full talent and ability yet of Troy, and what he is really capable of, he more than holds his own with the 3 I've named and has friendly has we all are, it's business's and would fight them in a drop of a hat, them are the sort of fights Troy needs to show his talent.
