What was the greatest fight you ever seen?

I think the greatest fight I ever saw was Bobby Chacon/Bazooka Limon 4.I remember this fight,it was on a Saturday afternoon,Dec. of 1982 on ABC.It was for Limon's WBC jr lightweight title.Keith Jackson was the announcer and I believe this was Ring Magazine's "Fight of The Year".It had it all,15 round slugfest, non stop action, intense rivalry(each had a decision win over the other and one was a technical draw).Limon knocked down Chacon in the 3rd and the 10th rounds.Bobby came back to score a knockdown seconds before the final bell rang.Securing a close decision victory and taking Limon's title.I've seen many great fights but this one was certainly the best for me!

Saad/Lopez 2 or Pryor/Arguello 1. Chacon/Limon 4 is an excellent answer. I believe I had that behind Vazquez/Marquez 3 in 4th place on the best fights I've seen live.

Yeah, it should be rather in the "Boxers of the past" but still, there is such a topic and it's quite new.

That was also the best fight that I have ever seen. I got it in a tie with Leonard vs Hearns I. I do not know which of the 2 fights to choose as #1.

It's not a sexy answer, but the best fight I've seen live on TV is the first Ward-Gatti fight. I remember I tuned in at around the 6th round and I was just floored at what I was seeing.

ive just watched the chacon - limon battle and it tops anything I have ever seen. yes the mab/morales first fight and the foreman/Ronnie lyle, corales/Castillo are all truly great but bobby's win over bazooka was extraordinarily brutal for every one of the 15 rounds. in fact, and I don't say this lightly, I reckon both guys gave too much of themselves - way beyond the call of duty. they both took themselves into a very deep dark place for glory. unforgettable.

Chacon vs Limon IV is probably my answer as well. That was epic as hell. Every round just about is like Round 10 of Holyfield vs Bowe 1
Morales vs Barrera 1 is another all time favorite of mine.
I've seen a lot of great fights though.

You know, I'll stir the waters a little and say, frankly, I think Chacon-Limon IV is over-rated. Great fight, but it's routinely brought up as one of the greatest fights ever and I frankly just don't see it . .for starters I think it was a little one-sided in favor of Chacon despite the knockdowns. They're lots of fights I'd rate over it.

....and it does not always take top flight fighters to have a great fight. In fact sometimes great skill can be less entertaining..... Scientific boxers are seldom the favorites.
A good example was the very good show put on by Gatti and Ward....neither top tier fighters, but they sure showed us a great fight.
I went back and watched the Limon/Chacon fight as well. I did think it was very good.

These four are all jaw-droppers. Chacon-Limon IV is my personal favourite (I didn't see any of them live) but there's barely anything in it.

Great event and accomplishment, not a great fight. Same with Holyfield/Tyson.

Yup, Lee/Locicero > Hagler/Hearns. Anybody that hasn't seen that should jump to Youtube for 20 minutes.
