0:08 Whatever Gil Clancy said to him in the corner between rounds must have had some effect as Chandler has some spring in his step here in the 3rd round. 0:0

1:51 * Hugo Ruiz's pawing at his eye and there may be some blood trickling into that eye from the cut above it. The referee must have noticed because we have a stop in the action as Prayadsab motions toward the ringside physician. They're going to take a close look at the cut. 9:0
1:51 * The referee won't stop the fight on his own if the reason for the stoppage directly has to do with a cut or swelling; he'll always consult the ringside doctor. 1:29 Ruiz has emerged bloodied, as the gash outside his left eyebrow has, apparently, reopened. 4:4
1:29 * The fighters move away from each other, creating a bit of distance between them. Now the referee has called timeout, halting the action. He's leading Ruiz to the ringside physician. The cut over Ruiz's eye seems to be the primary cause for concern. 4:4
1:34 * Prayadsab has stopped the fight. * That's all she wrote, folks! The cut over Hugo Ruiz's eye has just become too bad for him to continue. This fight is history. Jeff Chandler wins via TKO! 4:4
